I have a challenge fy, spawn an hourglass in the first room and tp to the house and try and beat the game, you may take the item on mom's chest if you're finding the challenge too hard

I'm not sure if you know, but the blank coins were so slippery because of a bug with nose goblin. if a blank coin gets hit by sticky tears like nose goblin or mucormycosis, it'll start sliding around in the opposite direction the tear got attached. mucormycosis has lost me some greed runs because of how easy it is to spread spores lol I might try this one myself, but I'll use tainted azazel. equally great group clearing and damage, but better range

Good Now do regular isaac with tainted isaac item limitations (d6 can be changed for spindown if you wanna minmax)

Greedier is possible, especially with the rigging you could have done this run but just barely missed

I think Tainted Beth would be good for greedier

im a huge fan of ur series man, keep it up. but i wanted to ask you. who do u think would be the easiest character to do itemless with if we exclude all the characters that start with items. and if we include characters who start with items who would be the easiest then?

Honestly, for my greedy self, using Huge growth on just mom fight feels a bit like a waste. Its such a powerful card that can heavily help on heart or even isaac, so personally I probably would try to carry it past mom fight, entering it with the fool instead, even if it means no damage up for the fight. The potential on later bosses just feels so worth the risk. Love your content, keep it going 🔥

Late comment, but have you ever considered going to downpour II? The mirror dimension can lead to more pickup drops, and with enough experience, downpour feels no harder than caves. Though the rest of the alt path really isn't worth the trouble, downpour II could be the exception.

So i tried doing the challenge, and on my first attempt i got a tears down pill, almost reset, continued, got jawbreaker, got a gulp pill and got perfection. It was going well until i died at necropolis I, because i suck at the fucking game. Seed was 48A9 WVE1, if anyone wants to give it a try.

ive never tested it but with void you can void items in the pickup animation if you are able to void items in the pickup animation with black rune you could theorectically lock in devil deals which can have skulls and red chest which might lead into more cards this assumes you get a black rune though

spoilers oh my god this run is so sad. I mean it was absolutely a great run from the start with those pills and holy card, but getting black rune but it gives bad stats is so sad. I absolutely cannot blame you for the huge growth misplay, because it does **always** grant stompy, but it's it's own effect, like thunder thighs, and doesn't come with the transformation banner or the dust particles note for future: you can check treasure rooms on the floor and on floors after you find the first planetarium. planetarium chance can't increase if you've already found a planetarium in the run

I think, black rune potential can be realized in depths 1(cran machine)

Nice run. Btw "size up" is bad not just because of stompy but also if you get any subsequent "size down" pills. Thats because isaac's hitbox is pretty easily calculated: the smallest its been on the current run is its size. In other words if you get a size down pill then a size up pill, your hitbox will stay small and if you get a size up then a size down pill, you won't have any hitbox change. In conclucion: its better for a run if you get an early size down pill cause it makes thee whole run a bit easier. Also happy to have been kinda mentionned in the video :)

seeing you using black rune on a boss item pains me a but, because you should have waited for a room with at least 2 items, or even better, a library

I dont remember it being mentioned in the video, but frozen enemies don't trigger their "on death" effects, which also means champions won't drop their usual drops

ough i know how long you've been waiting for this. so sad What do you think is the best possible drop to find in a run? black rune for stats? ace of spades trinket to confirm cards? could apple of sodom carry? are you concerned more with the run post-mom or the leadup and defeat of mom, like if you had to choose between Nuh Uh and something like Curved Horn which is more applicable?

Spoilers for the run Sad to see that that mimic had a gulp pill in it, making it so that the only way to gulp perfection or any other trinket found from that floor was behind mantle loss. Since taking umbilical cord over perfection is basically guaranteed cause its generally better in itemless, maiking that fortune machine play worse because less chests would be generated overall, giving less coins if you used that ancient recall later on. Imo that room was pretty well played though staying over the top rocks gives more coverage and easy access to the frozen ennemies. Perfection did end up mattering a lot in that last room because 2 of 5 ennemies were affected wich is on average a 40%. Final thoughts: overall great run but no holy card luck killed it while the ball was picking up speed
