    Great example. just one point- need to change the BR conditions to: apply it only when incident changes to critical.. without that u will create duplications of announcements for the same incident again and again with each update.

    Hi, suggestion is to use the ACL than the client script to determine if the record has been saved or not. ACL - current.isNewRecord() on the specified field

    Analysing all scenarios BR is the best way - client script wont work with list view and also with right click save or ctrl+s, it will work eith action submit/update. BR will cover all the areas. Even the reference qualifier is not best

    Everythinf is good, just one addition, we should be fetching display value of category because its a choice field and the backend value is visible. We can do ga.category.getDisplayValue().toString();

    Hi, could you please clarify the Q.1 We cannot actually restrict users from editing values in the list view using the onCellEdit client script. My understanding is that we can only alert the user if they attempt to edit a value. For example, function onCellEdit(sysIDs, table, oldValues, newValue, callback) { var saveAndClose = true; if(newValue == 'resolved' || newValue == 'in progress' || newValue == 'active'){ alert('You cannot change the status to in progress or resolved from the list view'); } callback(saveAndClose); } If there’s something I’m overlooking, please correct me. As far as I understand, to truly prevent editing in the list view, we would need to create Access Control Lists (ACLs).

    Was creating a new formatter record necessary ? Because activity formatter is ok global table which means it's available for all the tables, so you can bring it from available bucket to selected in configure form layout
