Rock N' Roll - Virginia Canyon MTB Park's Newest Trail
Rock N' Roll is the newest section of trail in the Virginia Canyon MTB Park that opened at the beginning of December. It drops in from Morning Star and connects to the rocky hairpin of Country Rock. Adam Wood is doing great work out there on this trail, along with the rest of the volunteer trail builders. There are a few more pro lines being built off this section of trail. Subscribe to see those sections when they are finished.

My first time checking out the Frisco Bike Park. I didn't have time to ride the whole park. The trails featured are Aftermath, Pretty Slick, Sky Pilot, Buffalo Run, and one of the dirt jump lines.
First Ride at Virginia Canyon Mountain Bike Park in Idaho Springs, CO

Today was my first chance to check out the new trails in the freshly opened Virginia Canyon Mountain Bike Park in Idaho Springs, CO. The climbs are quick and easy to carry speed. The gaps, drops, and lippy jumps are a welcome departure from the tame front range trails. Excited to get up for a few more rides and learn the trails.

    That trailer looks wild. Is that a double black or a proline? You make it look way too easy. Subscribed.

    • @nichandy
      @nichandy 13 часов назад

      @@AdventureAwaits4u Thank you. That section is a double black. There are plans for a proline straight off the first rock roll instead of turning left. Midway down you can see someone with some planks off to the left. That is one of the other prolines that is nearly done. Heavy Metal is what that section is going to be called. I believe as of yesterday it was just waiting on final approval and signage. About 40 feet of 45 degree rock spin to an off camber bridge into a right turn. Good stuff. I’ll try to make it up there to film that new section before the trail closure Jan 1. But just found a crack in my frame while cleaning my bike today, so we’ll see if I can get that sorted quick. See you out there.

      @@facelessbot963 The wood drop on ghost town was pretty sketchy blind and was certainly bigger than I thought it was going to be. And more speed was needed for the wood bridge. Had to push my bike forward which is why the camera got knocked off angle on the landing. Most of the trail is build with enough sight lines to have an idea of what’s coming. And is built in a way that a good quick trail speed is the right speed for most of the features. Half the fun is figuring it out as you go.

      @@BOOSTEDDUDE Thanks dude. First time I hit ghost town was blind in my “first look” video. Came up a little short. It rides nice. Similar speed to the tectonic drop. It’s a little taller and the landing is loose. Not an issue, but something to be aware of. Easy to make the corner after without trouble.
