This exact problem won't cause a fuse to blow. Fuses blow when more electricity is being pulled through the fuse than it is designed to allow. Since I doubt you added any electrical accessories to the dome light circuit, this is almost certainly being caused by a short in that circuit. A short is where the positive power is making a connection to a ground directly. The only way to find those is to check all your positive power connections and verify they're not being allowed to touch a ground. If after dping that, you still can't find it, it's possible that the positive power wire has had its insulation damaged somewhere which is exposing the wire to a ground connection. @@studiolivingroom Heard it from 2 guys, 1 w/business Ozark who lives in Sparta, & the other retired & lives in Sparta. Both were born & raised in Sparta or immediate area. I thk its cuz they are lifetime residents of the area & are poking fun at the fact that nobody in there family's growing up, would celebrate persimmons, if they realize that they #1) aren't very good, 2) only have a small window to eat them between before ripe & after ripe (fresh style) & since every other Fruit festival has been taken by other communities, it's left Sparta w/Persimmons. We had 1 persimmon tree growing up as a kid on our farm. Even us kids only took 1 bite & threw it at someone else. They may make good jam, jelly, or pies, but not the same category as a peach, apple, pear. Hence the joke of calling it "Possum Days". Since more people likely enjoy eating possum than persimmons. (another joke) It's all just light hearted joking sarcasm amongst lifetime locals I know. Sparta is a great small town. To bad Covid hurt some of the local businesses. That's unfortunate. It's actually ideal if you like to have access to some simple things like food & fuel, but not have to live near a larger city. I'm a big fan of Sparta myself, but not interested in Persimmon days myself. I grew near no town, so I appreciate having anything near by.. We all like what we like. @@Mountain_Valley_Sky That's interesting. I hadn't heard it yet, but I appreciate the humor. We have a persimmon tree and they're KIND OF good. They sort of remind me of a fig but not near as good as a fig. I've wondered why we celebrate them here, even if in jest. Ha!

I've always found the window of good tasting persimmons is pretty narrow. Kinda like field corn vs sweet corn. All the Ole timers say if ya catch field corn in a narrow few day window, it's edible. I never tried, cuz sweet corn is to easy to grow or buy locally. 🤷

Sounds like maybe a broken fuse or fuses. It's hard to say. That's definitely the first place I would look, though. Then, if the fuses are fine, the only thing to do is trace the wires and look for a break somewhere. Of course, check the bulbs for the lights.
