The fusion 2 has a foam pillar forward of the footplate held in place by those two screws in the deck. The grooves in the hull help with tracking and give a bit more stiffness to the hull but can also jam over obstructions in the water such as rocks and branches which can be awkward.

Nice review; particularly the emphasis on individual feel and the importance of demo-ing boats to see what's right for you. I recently did this with several boats. The specs recommended I padde a Large, but the Medium felt way better, I went with this and am very happy I did. Im glad i tried before buying.

I can see why it can't be retrofitted to other models, but it's a shame; especially as I've only just bought a Firecracker. Oh well, that's progress for you.

Thanks for great review! I think I read somewhere that the side tubes are lighter 70 denier, but the bottom is made of thicker 400 denier similar to many pack rafts made out of TPU.

Some key information missing. Action specs do not have adjustable seats, so you are fixed in how far forwards/backwards you are, which affects performance.

Necesito seguridad en mi cabeza, lo ideal es que se no tenga orificios y que disponga de visera para el sol. El casco lo usaría para pescar desde costa en el mar entre las rocas. I tried the Wanderer with the Occugrip. I found that the ratchet mechanism releases and slips open on its own if you push with fairly minor force on the back of the helmet. I wouldn’t want this to happen and the helmet to loosen and slide forward or backward while on the river. Is this slippage intentional with the occugrip for a safety reason, or is it just how the design ended up?
