when you put the brayer (roller) down you should not put it on the ink side. turn it around and place it down on the metal part.this way you will keep the surface clean and prevent any particles attaching to the brayer
HA! this irritated me too. It felt kind of petty to be annoyed about, but my professor used to really get onto us about that in university so seeing an instructor do that really bothered me.
