I had problems with sniper. Crazy RFI issues. Made all sorts of shielding for the wires etc. I gave up on it. Trash.

Lord. People gotta realize EFI takes some effort. This plug and play stuff barely works on stock engines. So what issues did you have and how much time was spent actually trying to dial it in??

Had aces kit, out of the box bad o2. Had to update just to get it to run ok.. couldn't ever get it to idle right and the hand held bricked after 2 weeks.. tech support gets back to you 2 days later at best.. switched to jegs

Sounds like a you problem. Just cause you dont know how to work on it correctly doesnt mean its a bad system. We orefer the entire intake vs the TBI systems but they are vastly better than carbeurated systems.

You had too low voltage. Needs 12.6+ volts. You were at 11.5.

If the fuel is being injected above the throttle plates, then the vacuum reference line to the fuel pressure regulator needs to be disconnected and removed, as that would be causing large fuel pressure fluctuations

Is your water pump turning the right way? The pulley is rubbed but has the smooth side on it.

Idk how it’s possible that it’s the system being the issue since you have changed it so many times now.

That iac valve is wild open. Self tuning can’t fix operator errors, that’s for any efi system.

Did u guys ever get it running? My son and I are having issues as well. The ecu is nothing work until I disconnect the carb then the fuel pump turns on and the ecu talks to the display. Before that says unable to connect. We are in the process of sending it back

I know whats wrong, 99% sure. As I have used aftermarket EFI systems myself, I have experience with it. I have done my mistakes and learned from them. I installed sniper on my 65 impala. Battery was in stock location. Everything worked fine. I relocated battery to the trunk, just like you have. Then the sniper started to break up. It would go on/off during driving. Was really bad. Luckly some people on the holley forum pointed me in the tight direction. You guys are having emi/rfi issues. The reason is, when you relocated the battery to the trunk, you guys did the shortcut way with the main ground cable. I see it goes from battery to trunk latch bolt. That cables has to go directly to the engine block. I made the same mistake so I know. To bad I watched this video this late. But in the future if you are dealing with EFI again. Remember, grounds are super important to be done right. Also that main power and ground for efi is connected directly to battery.

Im having some learning time with mine and every issue I've had has been installation related. It seems to me that you had installation issues and didn't spend enough time working that out.

Your IAC read 174, it supposed to be between 6-20. Have to adjust the throttle blade. Gave up is right. Didn’t even try
