Learn the benefits of a well built paramotor trike design. Fly safe. Have fun!
Choosing my paramotor modality #1

Entering the sport of paramotor flying, important choices must be made. Here is the first information video in a series to assist a person with details for consideration regarding foot launch flying vs wheeled flight.

My first flight with my new Anakis III
Decision taken to fly into Canyon at ~18:00 or a bit before, tries to clear the canyon wall without enough space left at 18:30.
Was this essentially due to no scouting the route before flying it?
Something tells me you were to low 😂
What version paramotor is that
It was a prototype I was working on at the time. I started on a Flattop but it fell apart so I was experimenting on a new design.
And they wonder how most of the parqmotor casualties are very experienced aces.
Good thing you had a Flattop 😂
What an idiot. You should have landed in gator infested river
I knew they were coming so I was watching to see if I could identify them before you did....nope. Totally invisible until you reacted to them. This is an awesome lesson about power lines. Never assume you will see them in time, or there will be visible poles to help you see them. Overfly the area first to ensure it is safe. Glad you are good and flying again. I wish power companies would put small markers on power lines across areas like this where they might not be visible to aircraft or even tall trucks and construction equipment.
Good video. Thanks for sharing. Very useful for others to learn.
Like the attitude... shit happens and being happy you are okay is the main thing :)
The title implies you've crashed into power lines 3 times before. And that there could be another 995 examples.
I can't remember why that 004 is there but this was the one and only invisible power line crash in my flying career...I think it had something to do with my old go pro.
5:51 oh jeeee hahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahhahaha
They will likely be hit again.
Death stands near the entrance of delight !!!!
I'd rather see a crash with laughter any day than a disaster with death
Oh noooo
Glad ya didn’t get hurt!!
Always wonder why the hell there are lines in places like this.
Power line was minding its own business then..
I see deer tracks in the sand.... LOL....
Man that looks like so much fun. I’d wanna fly all day long
Cat has 9 lives Reason for me not to fly
Yup I guess you didn't see that ranch house to your right out in the middle of nowhere at about 5:38 into the flight.....FYI where there are homes there is usually power lines.
Such wisdom....
@@paramotorman1 Not really, wisdom would flying at or above the standard power poll height when in unfamiliar territory.
I heard Scandinavian countries keep all their lines underground. I bet that keeps their flying enthusiasts happy.
After many 'real life' lessons, this is what my partner and I are doing now: saintgeorgeparamotor.com
Glad you landed nicely and in one piece. Hopefully the engine manufacturer took care of you under warrantee.
How did you get home?
Ben flew back to my pick up and he drove back. We carried it to the road. Interesting day for sure.
@@paramotorman1 Glad you are ok
@@Wolves1967 Thx
It's great that you could laugh about it :)
So lucky to walk away from that.
And THAT is why flying low is really dangerous, unless you know the area well.
not even a pair of shoes to singpost those lines
I was told there were power lines. I watched for power lines. I saw the power lines after the pilot was halfway crashing to the water. Well, I'm glad to see it was a chuckling walk-away.
Who is dumb enough to fly close to power lines?
I didnt even see those there... I watched 3 times
As soon as there's a house in view, those sneaky power lines are lurking. I just fly paragliders, so really only an issue when flying along mountain slopes (think haying cables in the Swiss Alps) and landing approaches. Flying low with a paramotor, this has to be rather an issue. 😬
You handled the landing very well. You must of had and angel on your shoulder.
When you see a house all by itself, you gotta ask yourself where the power is coming from. If you don’t know, climb and look. Very happy you made it out uninjured. This is my biggest fear as I get into this sport. I’m getting the same gear as you. Hope you are still flying.
Another click-bait, this time with a stupid creature as a pilot. Start watching @ 5:40 to save some precious time.
Wow those lines came out of nowhere. Glad you're okay
Holy crap! Those lines should've been marked - totally invisible! Too bad u weren't warned by anyone before, either. Whew! Nice job walking away
Thanks for sharing. This is a good reminder to have situational awareness when you fly Paramotor 😅 I’m looking forward to getting into the sport. I can’t wait! Glad you’re okay.
I was a student pilot Sorry bud ... no sympathy here..., Supposed to fly OVER those lines not under , not between Not beside ... OVER ....Only over .... ie, too low ...
If one can laugh and walk away it is the best of a bad thing!
Im a fixed wing pilot and have nightmares of a forced landing into power lines.
That is a very real fear! Lines are everywhere.
Like so many others here, I can't see them and I know they're there. I'm taught to look for poles but I don't see them either. I would've hit them too Brother!
Fortunate you are still breathing, you could have been zapped cuz of the water.
Wow!! Makes you feel like there’s no safe place to fly low. Who would have expected powerlines to be where they were and you couldn’t even see any of the vertical supports let alone power lines till they were in your face! As much fun as ground skimming is, I think it’s just too risky - best to stay high to play it safe. 😳😳
Willy Nelson’s, angel flying to close to the ground comes to mind.
Are you the same guy that crashed into power lines in olivehurst yesterday? Same clothing
Hey bet you were shocked to see those power lines lol
That was a cool,,impression of a bird strike, but how did the the bird hit from behind? There have always been in front of the craft..
