Older millennials are gonna tell you to NOT USE THIS. Using on wet hair is literally FRYING YOUR HAIR. Do not do that! No thermal protection is gonna help you when your hair is geting cooked. It shouldn’t sizzle like bacon etc. Learn from those who know. In some yrs you will absolutely regret using this. Plz do not ever use on wet hair.

I've had mine (older model straightener) since 9th/10th grade back in 08'/09' ish and it still works fine. I just don't straighten my hair much now, literally used to straighten my hair everyday back when I was in school.
