Just started on a Flintstone Bonneville salt flat car, but not this one. I'm starting with the 34 Ford wedged nose . Wasn't going to build it into a salt flat runner though. I live in Boise, so I see these cars going to Utah every year for speedweek. No,...I'm going vintage drag racing, and dropping in the Iceman's 41 Lincoln v12 with Ardun heads and a Socal blower!

It’s actually easier to do the hinge bend first, then shape your rod ends.

while watching this it occurred to me you could make a jig using pins, and use it to make precise, consistent bends every time, the same way pipe workers and iron works do. adjusting the distance between the pins would allow for a greater distance between bends, for hoods/cowlings of different sizes.

Doc, Great build. Most of the loggers that I have seen are Petes or KWs. The Autocar is a real work truck! Little chrome👍. Spoke wheels, and the pusher steerable axle, is just the right touch!!! And I like the mint green/ white. Lots of reds & blues out there already. If you put a different load of logs, with an extra long log, you need a flag stapled to to the end. A lot of thought went into this one!!!
