We head north to Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai for a few days. Flying from Khon Kaen Airport and arriving in Chiang Mai, we book into an old established hotel called Siripanna Villa Resort just on the outskirts of the city centre. From here we head off to see the famous White Temple in Chiang Rai.

Today we watch the Bun Bang Fai Rocket Festival Parade just outside of Mahasarakam. The festival culminates in rockets being fired towards the heavens in a hope that they grab the attention of the rain gods and support a good harvest.
