the punch like baseball is actually common for non fighters, and its just less chance of injury. if you wanna do actual punches do sparring. thats just common sense, the baseball punch you said is just to prepare them not actually hit them dmbash

its for controlled training, you wanna actually train that might as well spar. Even mike tyson trains like that

I agree with the punches, if shin guards aren't being used then don't throw that low kick as shin on shin checking hurts a lot, instead for low kicks I go around and hit lightly with the inside of my foot

Them flat foot kicks are John bones Jones kicks, I personally think that them flat foot kicks only to the legs should be illegal in MMA, they are horrendously dangerous, one hard flat foot kick to the knee with tremendous amount of power can send your knee to the back opposite end of your leg, very very dangerous, I believe they should be illegal and I'm certainly sure that many would agree with me because alot of MMA fighter's I have heard have said the same thing.

If you’re moving back that’s driving the force away from your opponent. You’re trying to carry the force through towards your opponent with the kick. By staying in that spot the force is only travelling towards with the kick instead of away with the body

I'd say you should only be competitive in sparring if you have a fight coming up or if you're helping your training partner's get ready for any upcoming fights. Even then sparring should be controlled in order to prevent injuries. But other than that, sparring should be kept light and playful
