I had to go look that up with Mike's comments on the right answer they didnt accept, Skully is indeed a game played in the streets, sounds sorta like a more complicated version of tiddly winks.

I think this was the closest finish of the short series, Barry was quite a bit behind monopoly-wise but limited the damage on incorrect answers so he had some money and got lucky with the hostile takeovers and Peter's failure on the 2nd hostile takeover. But that was briliant on his part to go to Mediterranean, Peter was pretty much out of it, he had to cut into Bonnie's property and with the scores pretty close and time running out, no way could he take a big risk. That was just enough to put him over her.

Disagree, but wasn't the same with Mike, on the series Mike had a lot more to cram into a 1/2 hour. Mike did show some potential as a host but I think he'd have been better at a slower paced show.

22:46 I've wondered what would they have done if there was really nothing for the contestant to steal. In that situation, Tom had little choice but to go for that monopoly, Tripp had no houses/hotels on his properties so Tom had not much to gain there. Could he have passed?

Hey Muncheon Movies, I'm a fan of tie-down roping in rodeos. Do you really have a video of Don Gay's best rides at the Mesquite Rodeo in 1986 as I'd really just love to see it? I really did enjoy Don Gay's Worst Wrecks at Mesquite Rodeo from 1986. Can you please upload Don Gay's Best Rides at Mesquite Rodeo from 1986? I'd really just love to see those calf roping runs from 1986. That was the first season of TNN's Mesquite Championship Rodeo, and I think Dan Miller and Don Gay provide commentary as their voices were softer then which is way much better as I'll take this over today's commercialized PBR anyday, as agreed and way much better, well said! 1986 was good times then as I’d take 1986 Mesquite Rodeo because Don and Dan’s voices were softer than compared to the other ones after and even today's commercialized PBR as well, too, make any sense along with no obnoxious music in future years as I'll take 1986 Mesquite Rodeo because Don and Dan’s voices were softer than compared to the other ones after and even today's commercialized PBR as if over the rodeos of 2024, make any sense, now?

Yeah, and I think that was for the best. However, I thought it was cute that Peter, Richard and the midget Uncle Pennybags did a little softshoe dance to the theme song at the end of the show for a few seconds before the Merv Griffin logo was shown.

This gameshow should be rebooted. If I were to do it, here are the changes I'd make. It would be an hour long instead of a half hour long. It would have just a host because I don't think a hostess is necessary. Round 1: PROPERTIES. Just like here, they go around the board answering crossword clues(first letter provided) to gain control of those properties and the monopolies. During the break, the players have the chance to build houses and/or hotels on their properties. Round 2: MONOPOLY. Just like on "Monopoly Millionaires Club" there is a dice roller in the center of the board with 2 dice in it. Each player has a remote control that makes it roll the dice. Each player has chosen a game piece. Its image or silhouette will appear on the board as well as on a screen in the center of their podium. The player's game piece will appear on the space they rolled. If a player lands on their own property, they can collect the rent by answering a crossword clue but if they fail, the other players can buzz in and try to steal that rent. If an opponent answers incorrectly in attempt to steal, that rent will be taken out of their bank still and be off the board. If no one gets answers, it goes into the FREE PARKING JACKPOT starting at $500. If a player lands on someone else's property, they can still collect the rent by answering a crossword clue but if they fail, the rent comes out of their bank and goes into the landlord's bank. Player can go to jail by landing on GO TO JAIL, picking up a chance/community chest card that makes them go to jail, or by rolling 3 doubles in a row. And if a player goes to jail, they must remain there for at least 1 turn and if any of the other players lands on a jailed landlord's property, the landlord can not collect rent so the visiter will not get penalized for answering incorrectly but if they fail to give the correct answer, the rent money goes into FREE PARKING. The player can get out of jail by either paying bail, rolling doubles or using a get out of jail free card. If a player lands on CHANCE or COMMUNITY CHEST, all 16 cards will appear on a screen numbered 1-16 and a the player must pick one afterwards, the card disappears from the group. If they land on a railroad, they have a chance to take over someone else's monopoly by answering 3 clues in a row, answer any incorrectly and they have to pay the landlord rent. If a player lands on FREE PARKING, they have a chance to collect the jackpot if they answer the crossword clue correctly, if not, they will not get penalized and the jackpot remains untouched. ONLY the player who lands on FREE PARKING gets a chance to try to collect the jackpot, the opponents can not buzz in to try to steal. If a player lands on utilities, they will receive $100 times what they rolled to land on it if they answer the crossword clue correctly, if not, the other players can buzz in and try to steal it. Since there is no landlord for utilities, if no one gets it, the money is put into the FREE PARKING jackpot. They will continue to play until they hear the sound of a train whistle which will indicate that the round is over. During the break, the players have the chance to try to upgrade their properties such as build houses or convert houses to hotels. But if a player is in jail when the MONOPOLY round ends, they can not upgrade. Round 3: MONOPOLY DOUBLES. This round is the same as the MONOPOLY only all the money has doubled. The rent to collect on all the properties has doubled, $400 for passing GO, $200 times the rolled number if landing on utilities and the jackpot on FREE PARKING has doubled. But of course, the money the players have to give up has doubled such as to pay rent, jail bail, luxury tax etc. At the end of the round, the player with the most money wins and is the only player that gets to keep their winnings. Second place receives $2000 and third place receives $1000. The winner goes on to player the bonus round. Final Round: BONUS MONOPOLY. The winner is going to literally walk around the monopoly board. They will receive 5 rolls of the dice. They will carry the remote control for rolling the dice. If they land on a colored property, they will receive 5X the hotel rent on it. If they land on railroads or utilities, they will receive a prize. If they land on FREE PARKING, they will receive a brand new car. If they land on JUST VISITING JAIL, they lose a roll of the dice. If they land on CHANCE/COMMUNITY CHEST, 4 numbered cards will appear, on the first 3 sides of the board: 3 cards give you money but 1 lands you in jail. On the 4th side of the board: 2 cards give you more money, 1 lands you in jail, 1 advances you to GO. If they pass GO, they will receive $50K in cash, if they land exactly on GO, they will receive $100K in cash. If the winner was in control of all 8 monopolies when the game ended , they will still receive $50K if they pass GO but if they land exactly on GO, they will receive $1MILLION! However, if they end up going to jail such as landing on GO TO JAIL, picking a go to jail card or rolling 3 doubles in a row, the bonus round automatically ends and they get nothing from it but the money they banked from winning the game is theirs to keep no matter what.
