And the police and swat team isn't coming to save you. Their delayed in responding in tactical gear, with all their authority are cowards. They do not protect, serve, they hide and save themselves. Time for teachers to carry guns.

You never imagine it to happen at your home, especially since it's a well off area. Parkland's residence are Dr's, Attorneys, Political figures, Pilots, and educators/professor's. I'm so proud of her brother for his as his fellow survivors' response to the gun crisis. They helped defeat several NRA-backed candidates in the 2018 midterms and then David showed incredible restraint while being badgered by Marjorie Taylor-Greene. Yes, Lauren. People who are worried about the 2nd Amendment and keeping their guns love to say guns don’t kill people, people kill people and, that’s true. I also believe mothers and care givers don’t look at a little baby and say “someday you’ll grow up to kill your former classmates, you’ll be on TV as a mass shooter.” Something happens to that little baby that turns them into killers. I don’t have a crystal ball, I don’t know that we could save everyone but we haven’t even tried. People my age like to talk about how guys at our high school had shotguns in the gun racks of their trucks and we didn’t even think about going inside and killing as many as we could because times were different then. That’s my point, the US Constitution wasn’t written with today’s children in mind, times are different. We most certainly do need the assistance of mental health counselors and mental health education. Every student should feel comfortable with talking to a MH professional and that professional should be available when the students need them. We need gun reform laws too. I don’t have all the answers but we need to start somewhere. The thought of one of my grandchildren going through what you’ve experienced hurts me to my soul.

My Dear Lauren, You are wise beyond your years. You are so right about mental health. You are so right, no child should have to go through the horror of what you and your friends went through that day. Mental health and treatment is more important than physical education, and sexual education. I hope the educational departments take Mental Health more serious. Things need to change. People need to be kind to their friends as well as the people they don't know. I believe that you can help make a difference. May much love and peace follow you through your path of life. And all children deserve the right to Mental Health knowledge and Mental Health treatment. ❤️

There needs to be a bulletproof bunker with a lockdown/emergency code inside every classroom inside the United States. No matter how costly it is. Something has to give if the gun laws/enforcement won’t change. This would literally be life changing. 2 classrooms should be connected via a door inside the room so there can be a connecting bunker in the middle so everybody can stay safe at all times. Bulletproof doors, windows, everything. This is horrific.
