We are DF. Quality drum parts, drumbuilding knowledge, cool ideas, stuff you won't find elsewhere, and acts of random irreverence. We're a division of Black Swamp Percussion, sort of. You'll see our handiwork on the kits of major touring artists and the drumlines of college and pro sports teams. We're at our best though when we're helping hobbyists and custom drum companies make great drums. It's in the basements and spare bedrooms where drumbuilding creativity and innovation flourish
Products include: Drum shells, hardware, lugs, the RCK throwoff, stock and custom printed wraps, drum building tools, knowledge

Drum Foundry's Perfect Edge Machine
Просмотров 23 тыс.12 лет назад
Precisely cut edges with our custom bearing edge machine. This is doing the snare side including the snare beds. We have two of these machines, one for snare drums and one for toms and bass drums. The machines true the edge, cut the inner and outer profile, and in the case of snare drums, cut the snare bed all at once. Each machine was hand-made!

I wish my router sounded like Sanford & Son!
what type of product is used for dyeing.
Shoulda called this "how to ruin a maple shell in under 9 minutes "
That used to be a pretty shell
that tool is quite a little feat of engineering. How much does that cost to purchase?
Go to your local Carpenter that has a CNC machine. Cost me 40 Euros. The stops and clamps and stuff you can easily make yourself.
Awesome!! Where did you get your Roller Set up and are they adjustable??
Two questions. 1. I can’t find this jig anywhere on your web page. Why is that? 2. When will you have the mats back in stock?
Why does it seem like the edge is left uneven?
That is called Snare Bed 😴
where can i buy one of these?

And now i know how to do this myself.
Do you still make these?
Discontinued?
Where can i find that roller set up to spin my shells
I generally make it a point to not complain in the RUclips comments, but there's nothing more annoying than watching a project video that doesn't show the finished product. Surely you can think of a way to increase your website traffic without annoying your RUclips audience.
What does quilted mean in the term you use it...
Is that actual drum wrap ?
Could u tell me how do u painted ur drum ? which products u have used ?
What time of paint you using
Bearing edges 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Where can I buy this adapter? Does it come with the RCK throw off?
How does he get the "textured" finish in the paint job?
rthmjohn watch the damn video to find out
Woow ..shows right here..in the video...that your watching...on RUclips...where there are videos.....that's you watch ..so you ask dumbass questions like this I .
And a little common sense tells you it's Birdseye maple ...oh that's also the TITTLE OF THE VIDEO..OMG I wish you could back hand ppl through a screen !! Some of the dumbest questions I've ever read on these videos !
Green bastard ..what you got a stupid question too or just a stupid comment?
do you still sell these?
We are doing another batch right now. Please email info@drumfoundry.com to get in on it. Thankx!
Eric Sooy just emailed:) any chance of redoing the wrap trimmers as well?
Glenn Parker maybe someday.
kontol benar, really good!!
your squirt bottle sounds like a duck.
Slick!
sweeeeeet!
The mount.....with the cylinders with the bearings built in.....that you mount the shell on (and is mounted off the edge of your bench)......What is that called? and where can I get one?
Nevermind - I see you already answered that question months ago.
@@drhappyyy I built my own. lol ruclips.net/video/4iTxea9pBhY/видео.html ...Did a video on the build. It was pretty easy.
link to see finished drum does not exist...
Sorry the website had changed so the link died.
After using water to raise the grain at the beginning, did you sand it again?
No, because it with a high build polyester it doesn't matter. The finish is thick enough that it takes care of that.
And you need a raised grain so the stain saturates well
Is that the Nexus (Bob Becker) version of "Dill Pickles" at 5:50? I can't seem to find it anywhere for purchase. Where did you find it if I may ask?
That's Morris Palter who actually studied with Nexus!
LOL love the first music wheel of fortune song,, in some shops that's called the wheel of misfortune. Nice job and I like the roller set up, gave me an idea.
Hello. What kind of bit is that exactly? Thanks!
It's a flush cut with the bearing at the mid point, between the blades and the shank.
why couldn't you make the video without the cnc blaring the super annoying sound I cant watch the video with the sound on , too bad cus by the looks of your little turning jig thing I could learn a thing or two from you , boo whoo ,whachya gonna do ? I geuss ill go take a poo that's blue while I simmer a rue and plan a coup which is pronounced coo who knew help I cant stop ryming shit with shoe new pew dew loo shmoo too que woo woo eww roo you u a,e,I,o,u aloo sue few glue hue jew klue zoo view moo there that's the whole key board ...what was this video about again ?

This is my question
Although the seven year gap pretty much gives me my answer
Dfdrumtech is parked at server w no finished product! A real letdown after watching video!
Should I always use water before dying wood? In this case a bowl. Please get back to me. Thank You
can you help with the setup for the rollers? Thanks
I know this comment is 5 years old... so I assume you found a solution to building the drum rollers. But, here's what I did: ruclips.net/video/4iTxea9pBhY/видео.html
I freakin LOVE the music! At leas you can be sure, no one is gonna bust bust you for any copyright infringement!
Listening to some Quincy Jones music IS better!! Thanks for the vid.
The music is hilarious, I love it !!! BTW, I love the color work in the shell too !!!

Where can you see the finished drum?
Why do you wet the shell before staining. I think you said raise the grain or something. But what does it do
Most popular are A and B, and C is less so but not too much less.
What is the most popular snare cut out of the three your company offers?
