This is cool stuff; thanks for posting. The SLOT here have taken "The Shepherd's Crook" out of their medley from the prior year(s) and inserted into this set. They played that tune awesome. I asked Terry Tully back in '90 "Why did you take 'The Shepherd's Crook' out of your medley' [because it went so well!]?" and he said, "We needed it for our MSR." By that I understood that he knew how well they played it and it would be very strong in their set.

My teacher and his family came from Northern Ireland.. Omagh, County Tyrone. To be exact. Bill Millar moved to Ontario Canada… he was disgusted by the piping scene here at the time.. he taught many of the Canadian greats…my teacher was his son James.

I played in the ballynahinch drum corps that day nearly 30 years ago. Just stumbled on this. What a find! I think we beat Ballycoan that day and won Grade three. Can't be sure though, we won a lot that year
