Hi Derek! Just came across you on here while listening to tunes. You might not remember me but over 30 years ago in Kalgoorlie you took me under your wing and lent me one of your guitars. I ended up being a lefty but your support got me started on playing guitar when I was a teenager. I still remember our chats. From there I played for years on the bedside teaching myself and was fortunate enough to go make a successful career for myself as a producer engineer and had a large studio in Melbourne. Worked on some great records with amazing people. I retired from the recording biz well over a decade ago now and live on an tropical island half a world away. I still have two of.my acoustics but don't play as often as I should but my love for music got a kickstart from you way back in those days. So I followed it and had some great memories that I'll never forget. It's a long time coming but now I get to say thanks to you for doing what you did for me all those years ago. It changed the course of my.life and for that I owe you shit tons of beers and thanks for being a top bloke and helping a kid out. Great to see you on here and maybe I'll pull my finger out and put some stuff up on here one day too.
