B Free RV
США
Добавлен 29 окт 2020
We’re Brian and Bertha Foote! Thanks for stopping by!
We decided to sell everything we own, to include our house and most of our non-essential belongings, in order to purchase an RV and hit the road!
With the RV and bike in tow, we're setting out into the wild blue and green yonder of the United States, to travel across America and enjoy all she has to offer along the way.

Newport Sea Lions
Просмотров 156Год назад
Today we stopped off in Newport, Oregon and found that the towns bay is thriving with Sea Lions. The male Sea Lions live here 11 months out of the year, only leaving for the month of July as they swim to the California coast where the female Sea Lions live. Cleaning Coleman Mach 5 AC Unit
Просмотров 8 тыс.Год назад
Today I am cleaning our Coleman Mach 5 RV Air Conditioner. It's been about a year since I did this last. Now that I know what I am doing, I figure I would make a video. I hope this helps someone clean theirs and saves them some money. Join us on the road and B Free RV! 📘 Visit Our Website bfreerv.com 👍 Join us on Facebook bfreerv.com/facebook

Mice, Rats and Traps Oh My! - Finale - Dead and Deader - Till Death Do Us Part
Perfect video...was wondering about the river sites. Thanks!
I have a unit like yours but the water drip tray was clogged so water would drip down into the RV. I found another video to show where that is, how to remove it and clean it. Just might want to add that in another video, if you haven't already. Thanks.
I will check it out
Too funny! “Campuah”. Gotta be Maine as we’re from CT and MA ourselves. Even funnier, I have same Ram 3500 but w/o the dually right down to the color! Dottie, as in DOT, is her name. I’d like to ask how it’s been the past three years?
What year is the truck? We're always looking for 1 of the 10 that had to be ordered before they'd paint her. We love being on the road. I think we have decided to do this for at least another 2 years.
@@bfreerv I give up. Was trying to send a pic but RUclips won’t have it even disguising it. Mine is a 2022 bought used 12k miles in March at a ram dealer in northern Ohio. Flew in, drove home. Ever get to Nevada?
@@TheWookie_USN We were in Laughlin and Carson City Springville 2023.
RUclips is funny on what can be shared
@@bfreerv well shoot me a note next time. We’re in Vegas, camping in Alamo for the week.
I have an older RV. I wonder where I can find my ptrap
Depends on the RV. It might be a true p-trap which would put it under the shower itself.
Do NOT do this in deep water. If the tank tips over you will drown!
Have one just like yours its making a loud noises from the inside. It looks like i would be able to reach the fins. I already looked and cleaned the fan coil fins outside. All the weather stripping just crumbled. Im a 62yr old woman and if will be difficult to do from outside. Anyway im taking a look in the morning so ill let you know what i find. Is there a place to oil it??
How did you make out?
Where did you get the bristle brush to clean the cooling fins?
I ordered it from Amazon
I also put pipe insulation on the cold condenser line.
I had tried the baking soda and vinegar trick a few times and still no luck, even with a snake. I'm glad I finally found a video that discusses the p trap! I'm going to try this out tonight!! Thank you!
How did you make out?
Thank you so much. Great info. Don’t think our unit has ever been cleaned. After several years it’s not keeping up with the 106F heat as we rolled through Redding CA.
106° is tough to keep up with the ac units are typically only good for a 20° difference between inside and outside.
Yep that’s what the mobile tech said. He advised running the generator and AC while driving to try to stay ahead of it, and accept the hit to fuel economy.. which is what we did. He sealed some leaks in the sheet metal on the input side which helped. Thanks again!
Thank you sir.
🙌 Awesome! Thanks for the great tip!!
How’s the drain flow normally? Bought a brand new trailer and right from the start the shower barely drains.
Kool Rv system
Thank you SO much for sharing this video❣️ Which fin straightener do you recommend? It appears there are different sizes. Perhaps I have to pull out my Coleman instruction manual. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks again!!!
Rock on! Great video brotha!
This use to be soledad sands park in the 70s. They had a giant pool, a giant metal slide, my dad's work use to have their company picnic there in the simple days.
Thank you! I will try this method on mine
Thank you for sharing
Or a mountain range
Mispronouncing of a name of a town doesn't help your video or your credibility
Excellent plus and Minus story line😊
And that’s the last time that water heater tank wand should be used anywhere in your fresh water system!
Glad you are all fixed up. Always something. Travel safe. Suz and Jeff
Does this have to be connected to Bluetooth & if so how? Mine was working last yr but now it's not. The Bluetooth signal is grayed out? When I try to connect it doesn't show any mopeka signal.
It does connect through BlueTooth. If you haven't used it in a year, I would start with replacing the batteries. I think they are 2032's.
Cant wait for that day to come.
Cali is a beautiful state, but I don't know how anyone can afford to live there.
No need to wipe the spray off!
I always do, gets all the dirt off the seal.
Enjoyed your review of Blue Mesa Thousand trails RV Park. FYI. We are here now and they have complimentary WIFI at all of the sites now. I understand that starting on Sept 1 there will be a fee to use the onsite wifi.
That's great to know. Thank you
i have a 40crs 2017, ptrap is under shower looks like you would have to take shower out to reach it. it has a small outside door but to small to reach it. thanks for any help you can give.
Looking at your trailer, you will have to cut an access hole in the belly or remove it to get to it. Is it plugged and not draining?
Funny to watch now. Aug 2023
In Maine Bertha would have been at Miles getting a Lyme test!
Did you happen to check the fuse inside the old microwave before deciding to replace the whole unit?
No, I did not realize there was an internal fuse.
@@bfreerv well, at least you have a new microwave.
This is how you do it!
I'm going to that place doing that thing tomorrow
How was your trip down the North Platte River?
Long
And a lot of sand dunes
Water must have been lower than when we went.
Way lower
Thank you for the video, are you able to say where you bought the replacement? Do you happen to have a link for it? The same thing just happened to mine so I now have to replace it.
I ordered it through an RV dealer in Acton, California.
Looks like you made it to our part of the country. Welcome to mhv.
We started in Damariscotta, so it was a short drive. Lol
Looks like you are at spring of the lakes in Oregon House. If so I was just camping next to you. Safe travels to you both!
We were just there. Now in Bend Sunriver for a few days.
Things like this need reported to the department of transportation by "everyone" experiencing any type of trouble with Lippert pin boxes. Get contact info from the internet. We RV owners put up enough with junk and garbage used by manufacturers to build these overpriced RVs. We do not have to deal with problems like this while towing on our highways and byways.
They told me that it is a low failure rate. I have only heard of a couple of people with the same issue. But I agree they should report the failure and do a recall.
I still foil tape around the edges of that foam. I can still feel some cool air flipping over to intake
Makes sense. They do provide better airflow. I still think it was worth the money. Especially when using the heatpump.
Absolutely stunning !
It was well worth the stop. I can not imagine the time and patience it takes to build these models.
IYAAYAS!
??
@@bfreerv It's a USAF "Ordnance" saying. I know Hawthorne is an Army Depot though. USAF ammo troops use the phrase IYAAYAS. It means, "If You Ain't Ammo, You Ain't Sh!t". Basically we are stating that we have the best job in the USAF. If it weren't for the Munitions Troops, the USAF would be nothing more than the largest unscheduled airline in the US. 😂If you ever meet a USAF Munitions Systems Specialist... aka an "Ammo Troop", just say IYAAYAS to them. You'll be instant friends. 😀
@UncleMeatMan I was USAF, SAC, but I've never heard it before. I was FD, so we only dealt with how to put out munitions if they were on board a bomber.
@@bfreerv Really? I'm not sure how far back the acronym IYAAYAS goes to be honest. I joined the USAF in 1981 and it was in use back then. I'm surprised you never heard a bunch of Ammo Troops screaming IYAAYAS at the NCO club at one time or another. 😀
@@UncleMeatMan not that I remember, I was in from 82 - 88
Calm down sir .. USA can only pride them self with the "Largest gathering of GAY/TRANS/HOMELESS VETERANS and more" not ammo .. What ever you had was send to Ukraine .. Learn your history before you say "WORLD" ..cause there is more out there then AMERRRIIICAAAAAAA.. BTW .. you have the largest amount of BUD GAY in the world .. and the most terrible president the world has ever seen...
Good to see you Brian!
Thanks Keith, how is life in retirement?
@@bfreerv I actually went back to work in November at a lumberyard (driving a forklift, stocking lumber and getting customer’s stuff)… I lost 35 pounds in 6 months! I just took a few weeks off to visit family in Ohio and not sure I’m gonna go back to work. This 71 year old body can’t take it much more!
@@keithgeorge2541 I did the work thing this past winter doing sales, never again. Though sometimes it would be nice to have a routine.
What a great idea! It never occurred to me to lube those O-rings. I routinely sanitize my hoses with dawn and bleach as a preventative after we return, but will included this now in my maintenance plan before our trips! Thank you for this info.
Like I said, it is probably the most neglected item on everyone maintenance list. Glad it helped.
Thanks Brian I never even thought of that 🤷🏼♂️ how’s Mesa?
Mesa was great. I spent some time with my Mom. Know we are slowly working our way to Oregon.
@@bfreerv unfortunately we have to skip the Oregon coast this year 😣
@@daddyo47 There's always next year
I hope the cone you got was just as tall!
Darn, we were JUST there for over 2 months and somehow missed it! Awesome - was the ice cream anything special?
No, it was just soft serve. We only found it because I was looking for cheap diesel fuel.
@@bfreerv ah ok, yeah the best deal Staci and I could find was gas Buddy at Terribles. No TSD anywhere in that town!
@@striderz69 no TSD in most of this trip to Oregon
I love your idea for defrosting. Fairly quick and not as messy with cold water and towels to soak up the mess. One suggestion for holding the cutting mats to the back wall is to use magnetic tape found at Hobby Lobby or other craft stores. One piece of tape on the back of the cutting mat and one piece on the back wall of the fridge. Match up the front and back of the 2 pieces of magnetic tape like a flexible magnet strip with adhesive on one side . It doesn't need to hold a ton of weight but I feel it is a better way than tape to hold it in place to the back wall of the freezer. Try it out. Let me know if it works out. 😎👍🐻
Love the idea, I will try and let you know.
Just saw y’all drive by!
And Bertha said you were headstrong. NOT! Heal fast!
