The mod I run is TTW (Tale of Two Wastelands). It basically combines FO3 and FNV and adds in some extra changes and bugfixes as well.

You don't actually see her during the battle like the others and there is no way when she was actually serving with the Enclave she just wore a dress and a cowboy hat lol. Just figured I would at least try an make her fit in with the rest haha.

Yeah I think I would have to probably agree with you on that. The Hellfire troops are pretty close to the rangers in terms of skill and their armor is just better in like every way. But hey, for not being in some super high tech power armor, they held up pretty good. But they just reach a point where technology is just a little too much for even them to handle. I have always been a vanilla fan and mods that still keep it a similar experience. There are so many creatures and npcs that I would like to eventually include in my videos, as of right now I have barely even scratched the surface lol. Yeah the skills definitely makes a big difference. A few viewers suggested wanting to see a round where each team uses their superior skilled ranged weapon so I will try to do that in future videos. That way we could have say Enclave with plasma vs NCR with rifles. And I am using tale of two wastelands so that is how I am using elements of both games. Thanks for checking it out!

Good suggestion, instead of doing like laser and plasma, or a rifle and a machine gun for 2 different rounds, which are governed by the same skill. I could always do an energy round, a guns round, and a round where they each use their higher skill ranged weapon. Then of course the melee and unarmed after that. I still do like to have rounds where they use the same weapon to show skill differences but right now I could totally dedicate a round to what you mentioned. Somebody a few days ago mentioned wanting to see them use default weapons, so going off of the way you described it it would not only add a round where they each have equal ranged ability but also get a lot closer to achieving their more default type weapons they would use. For not having power armor though they still do hold up pretty well in all the videos I have done involving them and the Enclave. Their skill is probably about one of the best overall of any unnamed npc. But fair point though, when they face a combination of great skill and great power armored enemies they start to show some signs of struggle. But thanks for watching and NCR forever!

Yeah the hellfire troops definitely did better in a few areas then I expected too. As for the default weapons, I have thought of doing that before but the problem is just going off the wiki, the veteran rangers naturally spawn with like 13 different weapons and the hellfire is like 3. Named characters are easy because they only have one default weapon, and the overlord technically has a few choices but the tri-beam was the only non heavy option so I went with that. Sometimes an npc uses explosive or flame based weapons, which have a tendency to cover the screen with fire or explosion and you can't really see what is happening. Just my 2 cents though, hopefully it clears it up a bit. If you have any thoughts or suggestions about that feel free to let me know. Thanks!

Just to follow up with you, somebody else just suggested a similar idea to yours about having them each use their dominant ranged weapons. That way we can see how a fight would go with them using their weapon skill of choice. So I am going to dedicate the first round to this like you suggested. I will try to make it one of their default weapons when possible as long as it is comparable in power to a weapon the other team is using. The way the other person worded it made me see it a bit differently and I thought you would like the idea too so I wanted to let you know, thanks!

Yeah ikr, they did a bit better in the melee and unarmed then I expected. Especially considering the veteran rangers have maxed out unarmed stat. As for the heavy incinerators, yeah I did a few test runs and they completely kill the rangers in like 10 or less seconds lol. Not to mention, the flames engulf everything so you don't really see much other than fire lol.

Yep, for sure. Weapon skill does make a pretty big difference for accuracy and how hard it hits! Of course there is always a little luck involved, but unless the lower skill npc has an absurd armor advantage to make up for it, they usually get wiped out. Thanks for watching!

Yeah for sure, a lot of it is due to the fact that the Enclave troops have high energy skill where the rangers have poor skill with those. The skill with other weapon types varies as well and that is really what determines the outcome a lot of the time. And yes indeed about the hellfire video, somebody suggested that and it should be one of the next things I do. Happy holidays!

Haha yeah, Veteran Rangers don't play games. I knew going into this battle they had an overall skill advantage, but the Enclave had the extra armor. I didn't expect it to be as one sided as it was, they got whooped. Ty for watching!

It was so long ago so my memory is a little fuzzy, but If I remember right I tried it but they had problems landing hits due to having less reach? I am not totally sure though. But I do know what you are talking about though, how they supposedly do a ton of damage with their fists for some reason. Thanks for checking the video out!

Also... the fight I **really** want to see and that I think would be interesting is the Enclave remnants versus the Brotherhood of steel bunker (minus the damn turrets). Then a version where it's like... you revived the Enclave (as a small army - maybe like two or three vertibirds come down then let them out) and they assault the same amount of Brotherhood members as a war. And there should be some canonical weapons in this - two minigun soldiers, two plasma rifle soldiers, two laser - at least one guass rifle... and I don't know what else. But that would be a battle for the ages.

To reply to your first comment, I can see where you are coming from with the old glory staff. I tried do do their default melee weapons which was old glory vs the pistol whipping 45 Joshua can use. It was over almost instantly, Joshua got destroyed because he didn't have the reach or the power that Ulysses had with old glory and it really wasn't very entertaining with how blatantly one sided it was. Also something I try to do, to make my battles more unique, is test them with a variety of weapons to see how their skill varies with each one. As for the second comment, I can probably incorporate some of those ideas into some future videos. I definitely plan on doing a lot more stuff with the BOS and Enclave, and the remnants will definitely be used in some videos too. Thanks for watching and commenting!

If you mean the "inertia suppression field" as it is apparently called, no the alien in the video didn't have it. Funny enough Mothership Zeta is one of the few DLCs I haven't had much experience with so I had to look it up to remember what it is. Thinking of it now though, it would have made sense for him to have it.

Yeah they really are. Like, I know skill wise they are a bit better than the Enclave soldiers, but their armor isn't quite as tanky...but even then they just effortlessly dealt with them. Even using energy weapons, the Enclave's specialty, they still smoked em. Thanks for taking the time to check it out!

Yeah I would definitely agree with that. I think it is probably because the Lonesome Road dlc is meant to be played later on than Honest Hearts. Also Ulysses was designed to be a tough boss where Joshua is more of a guy who can put up a good fight if you attack him but is usually meant to be sided with. Thanks for watching!
