So, would you say this can scan smaller objects than what Einscan has out now? Or really anything on the consumer market I have an SP and had a history with DAVID in the laserscanner days. Thinking about getting a used one to do tiny objects
how do you fix lever angle? I can not seem to find screw or knob for fix angle where I want to keep

What does the second camera add?
FPChris It provides stereo vision creating one scan providing more accuracy or provide extended view.
what is the price of this one ?
Does the hp z pro camera alone do enough to adequately scan as they show it or is the resolution going to be off unless it’s structured?
Z camera uses same software as Camera 3D worktool on Sprout Pro G2, designed for lower resolution scans but with high textures and adds PBR as an output (mostly for visual 3D outputs VR AR computer graphics use. It doesn't give the 3D scan accuracy that Pro 5 does. All depends what your outcomes need are
how big can i scan
Optimal size is 60-500mm but can scan larger or smaller objects too. Read more here: www.growshapes.com/hp-3d-scanner-faq.html
If you use the correct calibration panels, as big as you want. with this 3D scanner you can just scan smaller areas (if you want) at a time and use the software supplied to align and fuse different scans to create a bigger overall 3D model.

Hi, thank you for the tutorials, I do have a question though. You mentioned that a black desk and a black stand is appropriate 'cause it won't be showed on the scan, but what should I do if the object that I need to scan is black?
Black color absorbes light, therefore, very difficult to scan a black object unless you cover it in white poweder or white paint.

Yes, but the camera/projector that comes as a package is optimized to work with the software. You can buy the SDK to create your own setup otherwise.

Hi, for larger objects the camera should be in the right of the projector. The angle is 20 to 25 degrees and the distance between the camera and projector depends upon getting the object in the camera's field of view.
