I've been wearing em for decades . I bought my first one used in a pawn shop for either 40 or 80 dollars . They never die and after the movie A View To A Kill I started calling mine either a Seiko President or a Seiko Kill . They've always been my everyday watch . Nice Rolex !

Hey man great review. I found the same watch as yours for 340 dollars! Then a found the two tone version of it for 240 dollars. I like the full gold better but i think the price is too much, I don’t know which is better value since I don’t know how much they were priced back then or how much they’re going for these days.

Having wanted a Rolex for years, I finally did my research and wanted a watch as a full set including inner, outer box, and all paperwork. For me I wanted the Champaign dial and it had a very good 3135 movement. I bought mine through a reputable dealer two months ago. Mine had very little wear with the same bracelet as yours.

Is this watch discontinued? I can't find it.

I don't mean to dump on this timepiece, but being off +-10 sec's a month is not very impressive for a quartz watch. This decade I already had some dirt cheap $34.50 quartz Q&Q watch that was only off 3 sec's a month (and perhaps it had a quartz crystal that's better than those in most quartz watches, because the battery lasted even less than 1 year).

I’m going to be getting a vintage Datejust for my 40th this coming April

It’s a nice watch. I’ve been debating on wether I should go with a Seiko 5 Automatic or the Casio Duro Quartz. After seeing your video I think I might just opt for the Casio.

Yeah, the gold on mine developed brown spots on the fluted bezel. Looking through RUclips for a video to fix it.
