Ensuring Appropriate ID & Eligibility for the CT Alternate Assessments
I’m a teacher by profession.with a bachelors degree in Arts with Education. I major in Economics from Kyambogo University, Kampala Uganda. I would like to certify my certificates and transcripts so that I get a teaching job in Connectcut. How possible is it?
I am not understanding why I am getting this message. Please clarify for me.
Thank you Lord
Can you show the real SAT questions that are coming for October 2022 test?
This is a forced connection not based on any real connected history or culture
We do not have a shared history so why are we having a shared course ? Black Americans have nothing in common with Puerto Ricans so what’s the purpose of a joint course ?

Thank you for much for making this webinar accessible for districts and teachers who couldn't attend the webinar. I would to learn of more information to listen or sit in on this EL panel that was referenced so that I can grow my expertise and be a voice to advocate how truly impactful this assessment and what I feel is causing more testing fatigue and the root of why students struggle with proficiency.
Based on what I view of the discussion surrounding the Stamford charter school proposal...the State of CT is doomed, as regards the education of its children. Common sense has been abandoned for the most part, in favor of poilitical/bureaucratic NONsense. The Vice Chairperson repeatedly confounded the process by confusing everyone, including this viewer. The Board paid repeated lip service to the success of the charter school in question, yet (with the exception of Ms. Dubois-Walton) failed to see the bigger picture of success-plus-consistency for those 56 charter students, who hopefully will be our future leaders. I'm left with the suspicion that the Board as a whole will always insist on throwing more money at failing educational programs (which are barely held accountable), and at the same time insisting that successful programs jump through hoops in order to receive the support they need. Thank you, Ms. Dubois-Walton for providing the few moments of sanity and clarity in this Mad Hatter's Tea Party.

Our youth and kids need all the help they can get. One on One tutors for homeschool/zoom if needed. Julie Moore. The teachers need the help too. imagine teaching 38 kids in a class.

How exciting and informative!
It's more than just computers and connectivity. It's family support and engagement . There's only so much a teacher can do. There needs to be accountability of others than just teachers as well.
I agree that there is only so much a teacher can do. That's why I believe we should promote and support those alternative CT schools where there is evidence of STRONG family support and engagement! I also believe teachers should concentrate on successfully teaching their content area. The proficiency data would suggest that - for a variety of reasons - this is not happening nearly enough in many CT schools. Our children (and PARTICULARLY our most under-performing students) are being shamefully under-served when their teachers are being cajoled/coerced to include a whole menu of social justice 'work' in their interactions with their students. Way too many professionals are way too eager to participate in the emotionally satisfying performative rites and rituals of 'ant-racist work', when what their students need to succeed is the ability to read critically, write intelligibly and solve mathematical problems accurately.
Hello everyone, very helpful, thank you.

As a parent and someone who used to work in education, most of these requirements are unrealistic. And, my big question is- how are children suppose to meet social emotional needs when they cannot interact closer than 6ft and mask free. Children need to socially play, they cannot do that under these guidelines. In addition, it is ultimately the parents choice, I for one have no peace of mind because there are to many unknowns and to many variables. Look what happened in Norwalk summer school- open for a day and then closed. What is best for my family is to start the year distance learning and watch and see what happens in the school. If all goes well, if a protocol is adopted that protects the children and is not institutional like- my child can always return to the building. But, if the plan does not work for whatever reason, the school needs to close or anything else- I know my child is safe from that. Also, I feel like you all have a massive disconnection from an actual classroom. From the crummy air systems, to the green cleaning which does not kill germs, to the actual hands on approach that is required of all staff, to how children really interact with each other...there are so many realities not taken into account. There are so many natural development needs (for all children) not taken into account and those do not adjust to a “new norm” because we want them to. And, I also feel, it would have been a lot better if you all actually met in a hot classroom wearing your masks and staying apart- classrooms are not big enough for 20+ kids to maintain 6 ft. Like I said, unrealistic ideas.
Test kits may not tell the truth. They may give false positives which let the corrupt lock down people to trash the economy and certain groups of people. Media scare people and then they test the test which maybe false positive or maybe contaminated with the Corona virus which may spread it. The virus may spread mostly by the test kits not by people.
