Yay cooperating with your brain!! I loveeee that so much. I haven't read Bear and the Nightingale, but I'm adding it to my list now! I'm currently rereading one of my all time favs The Starless Sea, which is set in January. I have been reading it in January for the last couple years, but didn't finish it and am now finishing the second half. I love to read books set in Russia or Alaska in the winter. A Gentleman in Moscow and Anna Karenina have been other favorites. I think my biggest opinion/perspective shift recently has been around holistically caring for myself. I tend to really section areas of life off and try to tackle one thing at a time while neglecting other areas of myself. That hasn't been working and finding balance has been really key and challenging. Lots of love! Yay day 4!

I loved Bear and the Nightingale and listened to it as an audiobook again recently. Beautiful language and descriptions of snow and ice❄️❄️

Love! Getting outside is so important. I spent a few hours outside today helping my coworker collect pine boughs for a wreath-making workshop tomorrow night. I feel so much better after that time. Pizza over tacos 100%. I'm so intrigued by pesto, goat cheese, and blackberries; that sounds AMAZING. Happy day 3!!

Obsessed with that. I need to get Dale the Lego one. Also, I ride hard for Culver's pretzel bites. That cheese sauce is my favorite food. That is a great first memory! I love knowing that about you! My earliest memory is running with Emily to wake up my Papa probably at like 6:30am. He had just moved in with us when I was like ~4. And I remember having orange juice that morning and it tasting really off. Like really metalic-y but kind of like it had gone sour? Okay, that's all from me. Obsessed! Cannot wait for Day 2!

I have given up on a few audio books recently but the one that stands out the most to me is earlier this summer when I was reading Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingslover. I was just not able to read a book so graphic and truthful about the drug problems of Appalachia while I was living there caring for the people at the hospital. I did not give up on it forever though and when my contract ended I finished it as an audiobook on the drive home from Kentucky. So glad I went back to it.

I have always been afraid of what is in the dark too. Hmmmn. RIP tamagotchi. 😢 Nimbus is such an interesting character.
