Ayyy, you got melodic potential fam. You should zero in on that. It suits you, keep dropping! Also just a tip from someone with close to 10 years of skin in the game, try to make your bars less like run on sentences. Get creative with how you are breaking them up & experiment with your timing when you deliver, it will help 😁
I appreciate all that, but that's not how my writing process works or will ever work. At this stage I absolutely block out practicality or what the audience's sensibilities may be and entirely focus on what in the moment would be fun for me to do or say over the beat I'm listening to. So if doing only run on sentences was the thing that appeared most enjoyable to me for the next 12 years, that's all I'm doing. Making it in rap is not common. For me to ever make my creative pursuit center around caring how the audience values my music, would make me far, far less in touch with the pure enjoyment of expression over a beat, the thing that ultimately drives me to be a rapper to begin with. There were many times in this series where I didn't want to make a song because I thought in terms of the song being good enough, instead of just doing a thing that's fun to do. It felt like a job and how much people may value it a fixation to draw all the potential for enjoyment from it. All that to say, thank you for the compliments, and nah I'm not doing anything that anyone says ever unless that happens to make me have more fun in creating songs. I upload the songs publicly because it's a benefit to me if people happen to appreciate it and by some stroke of luck I gain following, but I'll never come at music from the perspective of pleasing the audience ever again because it makes me miserable. All I'm gonna do is whatever it is that makes me happy by doing it and anybody that doesn't like it can listen to something else.
