I have a MIDI -> CV converter (Kenton PRO SOLO MK3) and I have CV, Gate for incoming notes and up to 3 CC messages that can be translated to CV. You can choose on which channel it will listen, and will pass everything else thru. I used the 8th track from Syntakt as a Midi Machine to control Mavis. I don't have any CV -> MIDI converter, but I know there are a couple of solutions for it. I just was not interested, as my main goal is to generate more CV. And thank you, glad you liked it 😀

Yes, you can use revert and delay sends, and also you can run input through the Syntakt FX track.

Thank you very much! 😁 No, actually the sequencer is running just to sync the LFO to it, instead of key presses as I wanted a steady rhythm independed of what I'm playing. Various modulations are done via macro and the after touch.

Depending on what you get, you could easily just have a groovebox and headphones, and that's it.

@@JimBo-jf2qp yeah i bought the elektron model cycles and the guy was nice and gave me adapter with it so i could plug in my normal headphones..^^ i think some nice boxes would be nice but i have no idea which are good 😁will do some research but ty for the answer tho

@@C_555 Oh nice. I've found synth people to be really nice people :) The Model Cycles is a good place to start for samples. My first synth was the MicroFreak - it's a good all-rounder and isn't super expensive. If you wanna step up a bit, something like an MPC One is a good all-rounder that will do samples, internal synth sounds, recording and arranging etc. I think it depends on your budget and how you like to create sounds (ie one option is samples vs synthesis). I'd recommend renting different pieces of equipment from a local music shop, if you can, to get an idea if you'd like that type of gear. I bought lots of gear (used and new), and I don't use half of it. I think it's better (and waaay cheaper!) to rent or borrow first, to see if you like it. Something small that does everything is the Yamaha QY70 - they're hard to find though. Good luck!

Apologies for the delayed response, but I was a bit offline. Like mentioned already, groovebox and headphones are good to start. For me, the Syntakt is the best groovebox ever, that's why I have 2 XD It has analog sounds, fx, digital sounds and the famous Elektron sequencer. However, many of the sounds from Model: Cycles are already in Syntakt. And also, I think the most important thing to ask is what you want to actually achieve? Write music? Jam? Sketch ideas that will be recorded and finished in the DAW?

@@mr.upgrade hey, thanks for the answer^^ i just love music and creating, so ig its only for jam sometimes. maybe to use it for future videos where i draw/paint stuff. i got the model cycles, but i sold it again.. i liked it very much tho, but maybe i will try out others like the syntakt, and then decide which i keep, but i have to look with the money since i dont have much sadly, so it will be a longer jouney^^

For me, most of the sounds that I make are happy accidents 😁 I'm terrible at "I do psy lead now". With Minifreak I have exactly as you mentioned - every sound is just sooo cool 😁

Pretty much my experience trying this thing out in the store. It all sounds awesome, and some controls I caught up on real fast but... most things are just a black box to me still XD

All you hear is Syntakt + TB03. I applied a standard simple mastering chain to the stereo sum - compression, eq, saturation and limiter. But that just to make it a bit tighter and YT friendly 😀 The delay, reverb and all sound design comes from Syntakt. TB03 has distortion is built into it, but it was also sent through Syntakt reverb, delay and fx block to add a bit of saturation.

Most likely not, since the patch is named "Init" which is the default name for a new custom patch. (I suppose it could be a copy-pasted and modified preset, but I assume it's probably not.)

Nice job! Virus will mesh with anything! And Syntakt is a great base to start the beat... I also use a Digitakt to subtly add layers of texture to the rather dry Syntakt sounds. It's too addictive! ❤
