As someone who grew up in the 80's, I love that they pay respects to the original design and mold, but I'm disappointed that even the Studio Series figure is extremely basic, when compared to the other figures from that line. Most of the Studio Series look and feel like budget Masterpiece figures, but not Hot Rod. Every Hot Rod I've ever owned was basically the exact same toy, just with slight color variation.

Why didn't they reissue Rodimus, does anyone know?

Wow. Hasbro couldn’t be bothered to release a better version of Hot Rod? No stickers? FYI - the guns were the same as the OG figure, and they even left the Targetmaster port in the engine block The orange chest piece should snap into the hood piece. This is why I’ve given up on Hasbro and are gravitating to 3rd Party figures.

Picked one up myself. It actually looks better than the MacFarlane Christopher Reeve movie figure. However, I love the back of the movie figure box, with the American flag and Chris Reeve posing in front of the flag.

I usually only go for posable action figures, but these are Very cool!
