I put together a list of empathic abilities. It was on the fly so it’s probably incomplete but I throw it out for discussion. 1. Muse (Inspiring Empath) 2. Counselor (Empath with the ability to translate and assist) 3. Prophet (Empath that can predict) 4. Angel (all of the above plus healing) - not an actual Angel but a term I use for lack of a better word All of these have varying levels of intuition. I did not include clairvoyant or psychic because I view these differently - more spiritual. I don’t count cognitive empathy as empathy because a term like sensory interpreter better describes it, but I do see it as a helpful skill in empathic interpretation. Feel free to add your two cents. I would enjoy hearing your thoughts, and feelings.

I never realised that I was an empath, different from the norm. I too thought that I had to fit in, ended up unhappy in corporate, unhappier still married to an unhealed borderline who because of my lack of strong boundaries became malignant narcissist and walked out on me after 26 yrs of marriage. In hindsight, my unhealed childhood trauma and deeply empathic self clashed with his troubled self. Now I'm learning to be myself. Looking forward to healing with you ❤

I just wish I could be normal. At ease and comfortable with myself and others

I (INFJ) strongly believe that I am an unhealed empath. My eyes started to open when I met what I expect is a covert narcissist about 10 years ago. During that encounter, I realised that I was being taken-for-a-ride by the toxic person and my old schema that I am "the bad one" was clearly wrong. I am currently trying to realise my vulnerabilities and become more compassionate for myself and develop boundaries with others.

Im having a few issues to finding a therapist. 1. I went to see a few in the area and all they wanted was_ my insurance information _ creepy. I got questions like _ how many sessions are u allowed. 2. I contacted a famous therapist in the area_ they wrote a book about shame _ like one of the firsts books _ I explained my situation and I got _ sorry I can't help u. _ more creepy _ no referrals or info _ more creepy. 3. Okay I went to social work school now for some help _ now I'll be my own therapist _ taking like 8 courses now and I get bullied from the teachers and students _ more creepy. 4.I went into the streets and talked to social workers _ most are abused _ messed up personal lives and I can seduce most of them ( I have a sorted past)_ really creepy if u get close to them. 5. In general _ with friends _ it's too much trauma for normal people to tolerate to hear _ it traumatized people to hear that a pack of full grown men gang raped me as a child _ it's esp concerning when they realize that their own parents or brothers abused me. 6. I talked to the Reiki witchy types,_ to they make the most sense _ as at least they got tools to shut down the abusers and to control their sick behavior. 7. I return to my faith _ the only answer _ JESUS_ this world is not worth God's gifts to be wasted on abusive people ,_ I've been frozen out of Hell. I'm finally not allowed in Hell _ Satan gave up on me.

I began a career in firefighting back in the late 80's. I remember not long after I was posted to my first station we had a very traumatic incident. I approached a colleague in the weeks following, that had over 4 decades in service, and attempted to explain to him that I was experiencing some deep seated emotions in relation to the incident. His response to me was and quote: "Mate you need to toughen the F___K up or you're going to get eaten alive". I walked away from the encounter thinking, geez I must be weak, I need to get mentally stronger. It wasn't that he was being insensitive or in-compassionate, it was just the way it was done back then. There was no other avenue within the service to seek guidance following a traumatic event much less mental help if required, In 2016 I was medically retired suffering severe anxiety, depression and PTSD. Seek help if needed and don't leave things eat away and rot you from the inside and eventually ruin your life as in my case.

Reading Near Death Experiences daily 1. Talking to a priest and having him tell me, "Of course you're angry; you're being abused." 2. Reading about verbal and emotional abuse. Best book so far - 'Why Does He Do That?' by Lundy Bancroft. 3. Reading Boundaries by Cloud and Townsend and filling out their Boundaries Workbook. 4. 10 years of therapy 5. Diving into my natal astrology charts and my progressed chart 6. Meditation and energy healing 7. Focusing on loving myself while simultaneously getting over myself (Thanks for the latter message, Mother Aya). 8. Reading online about topics regarding narcissists VS empaths. 9. Videos like yours and the comment sections

It's very rare to find anyone on the same level, even family who have love for you try to talk to you as if you're personally is a problem so eventually I come to feel very alone and only find people on the other side of the planet like yourself to talk with, but empaths like everyone else need people in their lives who truly care and accept for who they are, I don't fit in anywhere as such but by the same token I wouldn't want to exist in a world without the gift to feel so much, I tend to get most of my unconditional support truth and love from animals, going through a very tough time where I've no friends no family or animals and feel in real crisis, I feel I can help anyone but when it comes to me I need help, I need help 😢 I can do great things for others but things that seem simple to others I find impossible 🙏🫂❤️💐🐀🐿️🐭🐦
