How to Catch BIG SYDNEY TROUT with Soft Plastics!
Fishing Sydney for Trout on soft plastics in clear-water streams produced some great results. Similar to Bream Fishing, just in a freshwater creek. A decent bushwalk, with lots of casting and rock hopping. It was a tough session. But the fish eventually came around and it made for a great session. Only 50 minutes from the Sydney CBD!

Not long ago my family and I were at Port Macquarie. The resort we stayed at had a saltwater lagoon which had some MASSIVE resident mullet and bream. I've put together a compilation of them feeding with an underwater perspective. You can really watch them chomp down on the bread!

Mate, you can return these fish alive in NSW, don't let any one tell you different. Also, just dumping a live fish in the grass is not the way to go, very poor practice. It will attract pests and spreads disease.

Nice catch. Just weird that in Australia Carps are invasive species and not allowed to release back and most people don't like to eat it. It's a lucky country with abundance in food production.

I just moved to Sydney, been casting lures all day yesterday from Blues Point Reserve.. only caught a small bonito. I'm glad I watched this. Gave me some hope. I was giving up. Was gonna find a new hobby. Making puzzles or something 😆😅👌

@@hoodlumhunter only lost 4 in the last 3 years, the last one i lost was my favourite one, got a 73kg GT for my PB on it, got one made the same but yea, near lost one last wednesday the split ring was about to come off, was a tad stretched

What lures you find works well for those salmon, bonito and kings in the harbour?
Hi mate for a metal I would use Halco Twisty 10g. For a soft plastic, I would use a Zman 2.5 Slimswim Opening night colour.
What lure did you got the Taylor on and how you worked it?
On a small metal lure winding fast.

some really solid fish in there bro, gotta give the blue mountains ago on the fly when the rivers open up again. you should get a rubber net so you can keep those fish off the rocks and their slime intact, especially if you plan on releasing. yew

What are the lure you used for bonito
I have caught my fair share of rainbow trout here in the states, it’s cool seeing guys in other areas of the world enjoy the same species
I hope one day I get to fish in the USA. It would be cool chasing rainbow trout in your waters. Also, can’t forget the largemouth bass that we don’t have over here!
