Hey man! Could you make one of these mounts for the holley 7" screen? Thanks!
Made by a guy over at The National Lightning Owners Club. If you search there, you can find the thread. Or I posted it here in one of the comments
Cool
Need more falcon vids asap
These 62s had the first SBF WINDSOR V8s..
Clean n sweet ,what's info on bed cover?
Thanks. The bed cover was a Truxedo LoPro.
how did you do the hiem setup on the trailing arm?
All the build info is here: nloc.net/forum/index.php?threads/gen-1-66mm-single-build.224660/
Hi man, looking a buying this dash. What do you think of the gps speedometer? And are the gauges like rpm responsive enough?
The GPS speedo works fine for normal driving. It lags behind the actual vehicle speed if you are trying to use speed info when data logging. The gauges are good, you can adjust the sample rate to make them more /less responsive. My Fairlane has the smaller 6.8 dash in it and I wired up a speed sensor in the trans so the MPH would be useful when logging.
@@briansshop ah thanks for the response! How about the sensors? Did you have to convert them to holley types or did you use the oem vehicle sensors?
@@maartenrink1261 I was using a Holley HP efi system on the truck,so the dash received all of the info through the Holley CanBus. Holley makes a "stand alone" model dash that you can install on any vehicle. It would require that you install sensors for any data that you want to display on the dash.
How much vic is under it?
Just the the front cross member.
Shes a beast great work i hope my e3o3 cam sound like a evil beast
Thing of beauty
The car is nice but I'm more focused on the truck in the garage that thing seems nice
Thanks,Mike. Bought that new,it's been a garage queen. Takes up too much space!
Can you give contact information for the mount?
www.nloc.net/forum/index.php?threads/custom-gauge-cluster-build.230088/post-2206029
You can't drill holes in the front finders. AHHHHH
Drill what holes?
@@briansshop the holes where the exhaust comes out
Been following build on forum. Great build. Nice to hear it finally run. Mike aka yellowthumper.
Hey, you crafted a really nice car. It's really trick and sounds GREAT. High fives to you for another killer "BLUE OVAL"
That’s sweet from ohio
Wanting to buy the holley dash mount for the ford trucks if you can get in touch with me. Thanks!
Looking to buy the mount if you have a way of contact. Thanks!
This thread has the mount info in it: nloc.net/forum/index.php?threads%2Fcustom-gauge-cluster-build.230088%2F
Just freakin' awesome Brian!
Thanks Chuck.
Did you have to run wheel spacers? I thought the track width was a few inches narrower on the cv. Weird backspacing or offset? I wanna do the same thing but trying to figure out what I need for wheels!
The CV is too wide,I ran narrowed tubular A arms. All the info is here: nloc.net/forum/index.php?threads/crown-vic-ifs-swap.229749/
Thank you!
You did the right thing by saving the Falcon👍
My 62 Fairlane likes to go with just a 289 & a 4speed..Fairlanes Forever 😎
How has holley dash been holding up? I have a 1997 f3500 ... I would get a dakota dash but they dont make one for my year truck ... but I was wondering when you start the truck up do u ever have problems with the holley up loading gauge display ... because I've seen other brands .. will freeze on starting...
I didn't have any issues with the 12" dash in the Lightning. But unhappy to say I have had issues with the 6.8" dash in my Fairlane. First one failed in a week,Holley replaced it under warranty, and that one only lasted a few days. It is being sent back the Holley...we'll see. Holley has been great to deal with about it though. Fingers crossed!
All ford all good
Sell?
Not yet, looking to have some fun with it for a while. Been without a HotRod for a few yrs now....too long!
Awesome ride!
Damn that is a bad ass car!
Thanks!
Nice!!! Hey Brian did you do a disc brake conversion for the back??
It has Wilwood discs all around with a Fab 9 axle housing. So,yeah rear discs, but not really a "conversion".
@briansshop oh okay. So I did 9 inch ends on my 8.8 gen1 lightning rearend torino ends I bought a disc break kit from little shop mfg. My wheels are billet specialties 15x14 6.5 bs brakes won't clear because the wheels have like a lip. So I'm trying to figure out what would work besides the strange low profile brakes.
@@juancantu8714 My Lighting had 9" ends on the stock 8.8 also. Wilwoods also. Wheels were 15x12 Street Lite bead locks. I can't remember the BS measurement, but the inner bead lock was very close to the caliper.
@briansshop mine doesn't clear I have the winlites. But the inside of the wheel has a lip it'd not true 15 inches
Beautiful car, beautiful work AND it's a stick! As a Ford guy, thank you for keeping it all Ford!
it's ALIVE! nice
Reminds me of yellow '63 Mercury Comet I once had, 289 auto w/ fender skirts.
All that and three pedals. 👍🏁
What’s not to ❤️ 😍
this would sound super good with a super 10 muffler. sounds nice with this FX.
c3 guys would go crazy for this!!
What oil pan did you use? I have a 351w going back in my cv swapped 94 but I’m running a dss girdle and looking for the right pan
Used a Milodon flat bottom pan. Keep in mind that I used custom motor mounts. The Pan cleared the cross member by about .25". www.summitracing.com/parts/mil-31487
@@briansshop how much did the custom mounts differ from the outcast mounts.
@@Prebugdaddy812 Take a look here: nloc.net/forum/index.php?threads/crown-vic-ifs-swap.229749/ Hit me back if you don't find the info you're looking for.
Is that 351 or coyote engine if 351 what setup??
351w,stockblock with heads,cam,intake,72mm turbo
Super Clean build. Is the engine running on the Stock ECU?
Thanks. Holley HP for the engine.
Any issues with the PSOM from the original dash? How’d you work around that?
I didn't need the PCOM, was running a US Shift controller for the trans. Wired the stock speed sensor directly to it. You could easily retain it for trans control/speed info if needed.
@@briansshop thanks. My E4OD shifts via VSS on the rear differential. I have more research to do 😉
Very cool! Is there a way to share the displays you created? I have the 6.86 pro dash
Sorry, no longer have the truck, sold it. They were very easy to make up,once you get familiar with the dash.
What bed cover is that? Looks clean
That is a Truxedo Lo Pro. It has been discontinued according to the website unfortunately.
I think you sold the truck , but by any chance do you remember the model of bilsteins that are on the truck? I want to lower mine, but I have new shocks
I don't. I think they were for the front of a late 70s/early 80s Chevy Blazer
He welds those himself.
Just the front clip or entire frame?
Just the front crossmember.
did your original oil pan not clear the new Vic cross-member
I was having some oil pressure issues on hard acceleration and wanted to try a flat bottom pan. Stock one should work, depending on where you position the engine.
What wheels are those you still have the stock lunch pattern
Wheels are Billet Specialties Street Lites. Truck was converted to Ford car,5x4.5" bolt pattern.
Is there any way I can get all the pics of your lightning crown Vic swap?
A lot of info here: nloc.net/forum/index.php?threads/crown-vic-ifs-swap.229749/ Hit me up if any ?s.
Holy frick! Holy fricken frick! That truck of yours is amazing. I just creamed my tip. 😩
Will it fit a 97' c3500 gmc?
I have no idea
What mouse are you using for the dash ? I am having issues with mouse connectivity. I called Holley 3 days ago but no response back yet. I have tried 3 different wireless mouse and two hard wire still can’t get the dash to recognize the mouse ?
Sorry, don't remember the brand. It was just an IR mouse, bought it at office depot.
