Добавлен 20 окт 2018
Vixy & Tony's lighthearted folk/rock musical style combines with science fiction and fantasy lyrics to tell engaging and beautiful stories. Their energetic performances can be enjoyed by both sci-fi fans and mainstream music fans alike, earning them the Best Performer Pegasus Award in 2008. Michelle "Vixy" Dockrey and Tony Fabris have joined forces with cellist Betsy Tinney and violinist Sunnie Larsen to form a "four-person duo" with a lush, amazing sound. Their music can be found at VixyAndTony.com.

OMG💖it💯🏆🏆🏆
Thank you. This speaks to Us on a very deep level
I'm kind of late to this whole filk thing, but god do I love it. You guys, Leslie, and all the rest of the people posting to youtubs make up my favourite music creators at this point. There's just something special to home-made music like this, doubly-so for songs that got recorded at a 'con, where the songwriter talks to people.
Thank you so much! I feel the same way about connecting directly with artists and creators, it's the best part about going to cons.
Wonderful voice and band!
Very talented, all of you! Love Tonys guitar, the cello and violin, and of course that beautiful voice!
Thank you so much!
Trying to remember when I first heard this song, did you play it at OVFF back in 06 or 07, or am I projecting?
You know where i first heard you? It was Celestia Radio
Awesome song. Pls care about your health
Thank you! And we do! Everyone please stay safe and healthy!
@@TonyFabris Dawsons Christian is my favourite. Wonder if you going to make video
I'd love a music video of this, but this is close enough I can imagine one., 💜
wao!!! I'm from Perú, and this music is absolutely incredible. thanks
I love your voice so very much, and in this song I just get chills.
I’ve loved this song since 2009.
Thanks so much!
This is absolutely lovely, I hope to see more of it in the future!
Thank you so much!
You guys make awesome music. Its rare for me to like most of an album but i like most of We Are Who We Are. I wish i could play like your cellist. That spider blue's part is absolutly awsome. Thank you guys for the awesome music.
Thanks so much! I'm so glad you like the album. We're very proud of it. And yes, our string section is indeed wonderful! I love what they did on Eight Legged Blues on that recording. Vixy and I feel so lucky that we get to play with such amazing musicians. Thank you!
Cass's Aurora Version Lyrics are clashing with the song when I try to sing along. They're both really good! Kendal, Vash: Try to move on, don't be sad. Collector: How can this true, be bad? Vash: Are you happy on your own? Is this the only life you've known? Kendal: If I try to fly, is there that you won't fall? Collector: Each victory means sacrifice, I knew I had pay the price To cross the river, you must meet the ferry's fee Under the weight of what I know, a mission I can't let go- And the only price that matters is not the one that's free. Vash: Will you ever let me go? Will I be sane enough to know? Collector: Is there anything I won't do just to learn? Collector, Kendal: What shouldn't be has left its mark, etched in Stone, engraved in bark- Collector: I'll make my queen a castle in the hopes that she'll return.
(for context, and spoilers for Chapter 11, so read more, hopefully) The Collector is planning omnicide in hopes of resurrecting the embodiment of Life herself, who most of us in the Aurora fandom agree the Collector is really pinning for.
This IS SO GREAT! (And I know doing these virtual projects can be so much work.) Thank you for sharing with us, vixy, Tony, Sunnie, and Betsy!
Mary! Thank you so much! We have been watching your videos too, and they are wonderful!
I love all of your music. In fact, I want a boxed-set of your music so I can fill my house with your voice and music. Thank you for sharing it with us all.
Thank you so very much! I wish we had a boxed set, too, since that would mean we would have produced enough stuff to justify one. :-)
@@TonyFabris If you are ever performing in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, please let me know. I would pay money to see and hear you perform. Convention? Love it. Would go just to see the performance and put money in your pockets.
@@stevenbentley310 Thanks so much! Our last performance in that area was at FenCon in 2017. It was super fun! Hopefully we'll be back some time. If you want to find out where we're playing next (which won't be until after the pandemic), there are four methods to get automatically notified, listed on our "Schedule" page at our web site: vixyandtony.com/schedule.html
I love your music, shame you're not more well known. I've listened to "Girl That's Never Been" more times than I can count.
Thank you so much! Being more well-known would be such hard work! It involves things like... touring. :)
This and their version of Dawson's Christian never get skipped when they come up in my playlist. Not many songs I can say that for.
Oh neat! They put out one of my favorite audition songs!
Wow, it would make a great audition song!
@@TonyFabris, it really is! I’ve gotten a solo outta this one!
One of my favorite songs, absolutely beautifully done! 💯😁
Thank you so much!
Sounds maybe even better than the album version. Which is especially something given the "home studios" (though all look very hardcore professional to me). Thank you!
Thank you so much! The line between home studio and professional studio is very blurred these days. :-)
Very cool! I've been waiting for you guys to do one of these. Vix, your look at "Yellow cat's eyes turn on me" gave me chills. :-) Cheers to all!
Thanks so much! It's taken a while because it's a lot of work on everyone's part. Though I'm doing most of the work, I'm not just asking people to play the song, rather, Betsy and Sunnie had to shoulder a ton of the work since they (and their staff) had to set up their own video shoots to my specifications. I hope that the amount of work hasn't scared them off of doing more like it. :-) It was done more or less the same way Band Geeks do theirs; Richie's explanation is much better than I could explain it: ruclips.net/video/3x5o-JtMS5k/видео.html .
What a beautiful, beautiful video! Everyone's studios are so PRETTY, oh my gods. I love how you put it all together, and as someone who might not get to a con with y'all (on account of being in Australia) it was nice to see you 'together'. I've watched some of your con videos, but the quality of this is better and still, I think, captures the essence of you all singing and playing together.
Thank you so much! I specifically cleaned up my studio a bit, and hung up the tapestries, for our portion the video.
Yay new version! With Spooky Cello S..... tuff, yeah, that's the ticket! ;)
We love it when Betsy does that. I have no idea what the real name for it is.
@@TonyFabris Natural harmonics sul ponticello!
Wonderful to see this
Thanks so much, Dan!
omg sunnie your cat ears ahhhhhh
I know, right?!?
Heee thank you!
Very nice version! I’ve always loved this song.
Thanks, Erica!!
I love this song!
Thank you so much!
Beautiful!
Thank you!!
Winter is coming, snowflakes. Let's roll.
We need this song very, very badly. Thank you.
