I tried CRANE once or twice early on but settled on SLATE and STALE. One hit in another version, and then the other hit in Wordle after I switched. Now I use STEAL, and I've settled in doing only the official Wordle version of this puzzle type.
Yes! I think I learned this from the puzzle! I love learning, so I'm glad to find something new in the puzzles in occasion. This fact then came up in Worldle's bonus recently. I missed it again. 🤦🏻♂️
Thanks for adding this. Those did come to me later, just not in the several minutes I was working in the puzzle. I didn't think to comment the answers for those coming along later.
I've enjoyed watching you play these! Just a tip: When you see a lot of words that don't have any semantic similarity like you have here, chances are there's some wordplay involved. Very common ones include words starting or ending with other words (like today's), homophones, and situations where you add, remove or change letters to make new words. Keep at it! Eventually you'll start to pick up on them pretty easily.
That was a tough but fun purple category! Dali, Goya, Monet and Degas.
Yep! Didn't see it until after, but it is the kind of thing they like to do.
Homey D. Clown, played by Damon Wayans on FOX's "In Living Color", an early '90s sketch comedy show.
Ahhhh. My TV watching was very limited until college in the 90s. Thanks for reminding me of that. I've only seen clips, I think.
Nice job! I see you didn't fall for the Golden Girls trap!
Was never a big Golden Girls watcher, so that might have been luck! Lol
I can't believe I had this on my home page and I'm first viewer of this video
Lol. Thanks for watching and commenting. You're always welcome!
Nice job bro, keep going, but next time don't write date

Won (1), Too (2), Fore (4) ...
Totally can see that!
Yeah, probably one of their toughest ones yet!
Appreciate the commiseration! Thanks for commenting.
Nice perfect solve! Took a while but you did it. Also, you can use "r" for "are" when texting, e.g. "Where r u?".
I thought of Toys R US. Didn't think of texting. I'm too old, I use mostly proper English typing. Too many professional emails. Lol
Good game!
Thanks!
Glad I wasn't the only one who got hung up on The Cat in the Hat 😄
I've been using the suggested CRANE as an opener, but I swear I have better luck with STEAL or SLATE.

Thanks for the feedback. The starting or ending are the ones I someone miss. Homophones I often think about.
