This video is only here for the freshmen or parents to get an idea of the building, room, suite, bathroom, and parking for move-in / move-out day. Maybe get an idea about decorating without it already being decorated. It's quick and to the point.
How to park uphill downhill with curb without curb. Visual Learner here... Learners Permit
Просмотров 17 тыс.11 лет назад
Ughh, my daughter was getting her learners permit and this portion of the test confused her...she wasn't the only one. Until my husband showed us how the car would roll if the brakes let go. My assumption was that uphill, wheels facing to the street would bring the car out into traffic...but with the back wheels the car would roll into the curbless area.
I lived in Weaver Hall '82-'83 (303-C). Yup, it's EXACTLY the same everything... including the furniture! 😀
Hysterical!
@@tesa6310 I can't help but wonder if any of those toothpaste wall hole patches from 40 years ago are still holding! 😁
Thanks for the simple explanation. I guess what was throwing me was the park uphill no curb. The swing of the car into the street is only part of the resolution, that whole solution involves the car continuing the swing off the road. Of course, we are assuming this brake failure occurs in the dead of night with no traffic. But if it happens on a busy street with cars all over, there is going to be some problems. But then again if there is no curb then the street is not likely to be busy anywhoze because its rural???? Oh well, at least I know how to answer the test question.
Right! Hahah. Good luck and don’t forget the tricky question about how old (or weight) a child must be in order to sit in the front.
Hi! I am going to be living in weaver this fall and It looks like the wardrobes and dresser don't move do you think there would be any other way to arrange the room where the desks aren't right next to each other?
Congratulations! The room is tight. I’m not sure of a better way to arrange the furniture given the fact that that whole wall is wardrobe/dresser. My daughter said it depends on the room, too - but she never saw anybody change that layout. Good luck!
if it helps, i plan to loft my bed and put my desk under the bed which will give me so much more room
@@brittanywootten5141 My daughter didn’t want the loft but I think it’s a wonderful idea and so many fun options to decorate! Have fun!!
This helps soooo much
Aww, I’m glad. Please feel free to ask us any questions. My daughter is a fourth year. And I guess CONGRATULATIONS is in order!!
Nice
thank you so much for the help I had trouble learning this but thanks to you I fully understood this concept now!
I'm so happy it worked for you! I kinda wish the hill was more visual. Good luck!
Thank you, but I can't get a magnifying glass to appear. I click a text box, click the center button in style, but the words I've hidden are not any brighter when the text box is over them. There isn't a tool that says "magnifying glass" I've watched your video 8 times and can't see how to make the text box make the words show up any darker. Please explain that part slowly and in more detail. Thanks a bunch
Chris Tice Hey Chris, it’s not an actual magnifying glass but instead a translucent text box. If you plan on moving the words you’ll need to make the text smaller than the “magnifying box” so that when you click (double click) on the box it picks up the text instead of the magnifying glass. If you don’t plan on moving the words around, still make them small and lock them in place. Remember to have the words set to the front, otherwise you’ll lose them behind the picture. If you want the words to be darker, hide them in a dark spot on your photo and use the darker colors. Thanks and please let me know if this helped.
Thank you very much! I appreciate your help. :-D
YES thank you so much! the uphill no curb one used to stump me but now I get it! super helpful!!
gardenpansy Aww, thank you so much for letting me know. Hope you pass your test!
Here is a what way to turn your wheel if the video went to fast Downhill with curb- Wheels to Right Downhill without curb- Wheels to Right Uphill with Curb- Wheels to Left Uphill without Curb- Wheels to Right
Sorry, Benjamin. There's a tab to rewind or pause. I hate videos that go into SO much detail and I'm screaming at the screen for them to start! To be honest, I could have done without the first and last editing. Thanks for putting the written details.
TuberTwoU I know that there is a rewind button. I had to rewind it myself to get it in text. By the way Thanks, I got my driver test in 4 days.
You're welcome. Good Luck! This question got my eldest passed and my youngest didn't pass it on the first round. Who, at 15 & 1/2, knows what the age of a child is in order to go without a car seat. It's 8, btw.
TY Very Much
YW, Assasin! Glad it helps.
Thanks man this help a lot👍🏽
You're so very welcome! I'm glad this helped...I'm an old coot who learns visually. Passed that trait onto my daughter. Smile.
You're quite welcome Gloria. Glad this helped!!
Thank you for helping visual learners like myself
