Blackpill ILX 501 Part4 Interupts and timer syncronization
Cleaning up the driver. Quick python script to visualize the output of the ccd.
Using interrupt service routines to start the adc and maintain state within the driver program.
These are the lines of coded needed in the timer initialization function to enable the timer to raise an interrupt:
/* USER CODE BEGIN TIM3_Init 2 */
__HAL_TIM_CLEAR_IT(&htim3, TIM_IT_UPDATE);
__HAL_TIM_ENABLE_IT(&htim3, TIM_IT_UPDATE);
/* USER CODE END TIM3_Init 2 */

Blackpill ILX501 Part 3 USB virtual comport
Просмотров 34Месяц назад
We set up the USB device on the STMF411 and use it to send the data from our ADC capture. Next the USB virtual comport receive function is set up and we change the driver so that it only sends data on command. Much of the USB setup information was found in a video by @ControllersTech (link below). ruclips.net/video/92A98iEFmaA/видео.html
Blackpill ILX 501 Part 2 ADC and DMA

Using an STM32F411 mcu, set up to capture a line of pixels from the linear ccd. Look at how to use a second channel on the timer peripheral that is generating the CCD clock to initiate ADC capture at a set time delay after the rising edge of the CCD clock pulse. Set up the ADC to use DMA to transfer the capture values into mcu memory. Test this setup by using the internal temperature sensor on ...

Details about using the timer peripherals on a STM32F411 mcu to generate the signals needed to drive a SONY ILX-501 linear ccd device. This video was inspired by the many that demonstrate how to drive a Toshiba TCD 1304 device such as those posted @CuriousScientist and others. Since there are many interesting linear ccd parts out there that are not a tcd 1304, I thought I would show how to go a...

Flying out of Siskyou County airport on a fairly smokey Saturday afternoon. I enjoyed a near flyby of Mt. Shasta before heading further east.

First day's flight on a gliding safari to Siskyou county. Smoke, flight computer fails and surprisingly good climbs to over 13000 ft.

4M and I spent a lovely day flying around Bend despite smoke and a fast moving front disrupting the forecast for what should have been an epic day. The camera only started cooperating at the end of the flight so much of the earlier commentary and the air to air pics of 4M were not captured properly. Glider Soaring over Mt. Bachelor.

Beautiful day thermalling over Mt. Bachelor and soaring along a convergence line west of the 3 sisters. This was the begining of an over 500km flight, unfortunately the remaining clips from the flight got corrupted during transfer from the camera and this is the only video from the day. The rest of the flight took me past crater lake and then east to the summer lake ridge. The following link wi...

End of a 4 hour flight that went from Bend to crater lake and back. Nice views of the glider instruments, and the gps powered gauges were working this time. :-)

To get exactly 1 MHz and exactly 50% you need to set Pulse without subtracting 1. In PSC and ARR you need to subtract 1, but in Pulse you don’t need to subtract.
Thanks for mentioning my content! It will be interesting to see how your project unfolds. Cheers!
Great video. I live east of you in Baker City and have thought there was glider potential here but there is no activity that I know of. A few questions about your glider, obviously it has an electrical system. What avionics do you have? Transponder, GPS, Comm? Do you ever talk to center? Keep up the videos! Thanks
what is the triangle on top of instrument panel?
It is a simple way to help me fly as close to 45 degrees bank angle as possible when I am thermalling. (Which is the most efficient technique). The triangle was 3d printed by one of my friends and is stuck to the glareshield with double sided tape. The whole thing is his idea, but I like it a lot.
Wow so cool
Thank you for the flight!
I did my solo in that ASK. Plan to get powered sailplane in the next few years I think!
Gliding seems so alluring, I’m afraid I would fall asleep.
New engine sounds good
My glider is an ASH-31 MI that has a motor, mostly used for self-launching, but also very useful for moving the glider around on the ground after landing. The vast majority of gliders do not have any motor at all.
Had no idea gliders had a little motor to get them to parking. Pretty great trip!
Wow only 3 minutes max power at those high elevations😅
Amazing thank you kindly 🌻
dang man....i'd be scared to friggin death in that thing.
Well, it is a little tense. Part of flying a glider away from the local landing site is always knowing where you are going to land if you don’t find the lift you were expecting. In the case here, I always had plenty of altitude to glide back to the airport at Lakeview. As a secondary option, there were many suitable agricultural fields even closer than the airport, so I wasn’t too worried.
Nice Henry! Thanks for posting.
Sure was an interesting day. Thanks for watching!
Well, better than asking for a front flip, i suppose... Too bad the info froze, would have been good to see your speed. It's a super ship!
pls do a backflip with the plane
The phone supplying gps for the onscreen gauges overheated repeatedly. When the gps data goes away, the onscreen gauges end up frozen till the end of that 30 Min segment.
Dude so epic!!!
What a machine!
One of my friends asked if this was severe turbulence, the answer is no. This is normal conditions sped up by x4.😊
Fantastic footage. We should have gone higher, but I was a chicken. Next time...
Bend 3500' from 25 miles at 11k. That's a super ship. Nice flying.
