It should be kumusta and NOT kamusta. It comes from the Spanish words como estas.
Thank you for this input! I should include that Kamusta is a casual way to greet people. I think both are acceptable but the proper and correct term when writing formally is Kumusta. In casual conversations or non-formal writing, I think it’s acceptable to say Kamusta. I have friends who are using this expression in daily conversations.
@@Juicy-sensei "Kamusta" is normally used by those Filipinos who are not from the Tagalog regions. "Kamusta", although many use it, belongs to one of the commonly misspelled or used by Filipinos in Filipino language.

@@usano-goldiemathematics9382 my family belongs to the Tagalog region and all of us use kamusta. Whether it's kamusta or kumusta is insignificant. Communication is being able to convey your thoughts. Language evolves through time.
