Oh yeah, I've played all of those CO courses, and I definitely agree! Arrowhead is still my top dog in the state too, those red rocks and the scenery as a whole is just breathtaking! I definitely need to vlog Red Hawk Ridge again, I was a bit rushed when I did that track, lol. The course architect for that course (Jim Engh) is among the most creative architects out there in my opinion. If you haven't checked out Fossil Trace in Golden, and 4 Mile Ranch in Canyon City, those are also both his designs as well! I need to check out Quintero next time I'm in AZ though! I think the Golfholics vlogged that track a long time ago when they were still active, those guys were some awesome sticks too!

Oh very cool! That'll be a heck of a trip for sure for you! I'd have to say that my favorite course out there in the Vail/Keystone/Breckenridge area is the Norman course at Red Sky, followed closely by the Fazio at Red Sky. It's not just the courses themselves, but the staff and the whole experience there just really completes the amazing experience. That would be the place I'd check out if I was rolling through. @@midgard_golf Red Sky is on my list, but I don’t think I’ll be getting to it this time. The plan is to play Redlands Mesa out in Grand Junction, (maybe) Battlement Mesa, Lakota Links, Beaver Creek, and Keystone Ranch. Should be a pretty fun few days.

@@midgard_golf Hey, ended up editing the itinerary of my golf trip a little, but I figure I'd let you know how it went in case you guys head to any of the courses. Here's the courses I wound up playing: Red Hawk Ridge - Pretty sure you guys have played this one Keystone Ranch - This is a Keystone Ranch video so obviously you've been there, but I gotta say it's so far my favorite course in Colorado. Absolutely loved it. Devils Thumb - It's a course south of Grand Junction, in Delta, CO. The course itself was nice, though there were a handful of holes that had very funky layups with easy OB where your chances of finding the ball are about 0%. Fun course, great views, but if you ever head down and play bring an entire gallon of bug spray. No exaggeration, more mosquitos than I've ever seen in my life. Lakota Links - If Keystone Ranch is my #1 Colorado golf course, Lakota might be #2. Hilariously awesome mountain golf with some stunning views. Can't recommend this one enough. Eagle Ranch - Located in Eagle, CO. Quality GC that I'd gladly play again, but didn't have the wow factor of Keystone or Lakota. Beaver Creek - You've been there...I'd say I liked Lakota and Keystone more than Beaver Creek, but Beaver is a better course than Devils Thumb or Eagle Ranch.

@@siege159 Oh man that's a serious synopsis there! Thank you so much for the recommendation, I'll definitely put Lakota and Eagle Ranch on the list of tracks to check out! I've seen ads for Devils Thumb too, that's really cool to have some insight as to how that track played. It looked to me like the scenery there was pretty cool , but it sounds like course management skills really have to be dialed in out there, which could be fun when my game is in gear to that level, :). Yeah I completely agree about Keystone Ranch, I really truly love that track, and the River course there is amazing too. I think my favorite in that area though, so far as course layout is concerned is still the Norman course at Red Sky Ranch, but I think that track is just designed well for my play style, lol. Glad you had a good time out there in Castle Rock too! I was a bit rushed when I vlogged Red Hawk Ridge, I really need to get back there and vlog that track again, it definitely deserves better than the job I did last time I was there for sure.

@@randyorr9443 Oooooo, the Estes Park course is pretty nice too, I've got that one vlogged on the channel as well if you want to see the hole-by-hole on that one. Red Sky is a bit of a drive from Estes Park, but if you're going to go out that way, then yeah I'd recommend the Norman course if you want to bust driver off the tee box all day and the Fazio course if you want a bit more of a technical, target-golf track to play. If you're looking for the real mountain golf experience, with heavy woodlined holes and such, I'd recommend Eagle Vail in Avon. I will say though, in 31 years of playing golf all over the country, I have never had a course staff which took care of my group and I better than Red Sky, not even at Pebble nor Bandon Dunes. The people at Red Sky really made us feel like royalty, and that really enhanced the experience for sure! Now, if you wanted to drive the other way, to the east from Estes Park, then I'd recommend Fossil Trace in Golden, CO, or a bit south of that, Arrowhead in Littleton, which is actually still my favorite course in the state thus far. Anyway, hope those are some good suggestions for you! Have fun out there brother!

Yeah I just called it good being where it struck. I actually prefer to take the pin out, but I leave it in just because I don't know when the camera will be able to see the hole and when it won't, so really it's just for you guys that the pin is still in the hole, lol. I really should have someone tend it more though just so stuff like that doesn't happen, lol. Good to hear from you again brother man!

Oh yeah brother man, it's a really beautiful property and two gorgeous courses for sure! I still need to do a stay there myself to vlog the East course, but the West is certainly no slouch, that's for sure. A long time ago, before I was vlogging, I got to play the Mountain course when it existed, but they had to shut that down due to rock slides unfortunately, but that was an amazing track too. No matter what, they'll take care of you at the Broadmoor if you make the trip brother! Thanks again for checking out the channel!

Yeah my swing is much different these days than it was back then, that's for sure. You're right though, I should find a coach to help get my swing to where it really could be, lol. I will say though, when I'm vlogging, since I don't have a camera crew, I'm hustling really fast to make sure I'm keeping pace of play, so I do take some liberties on the greens sometimes just because I'm really not reading them much, if at all, lol. Yeah though, I've really been trying to swing without hooding my club face so drastically, and now that I'm getting that done, I think some solid coaching could possibly take me to the next level too, I just need to find a coach I actually jive with, lol. That's hard to find out here in Colorado Springs I come to find. :)

I've tried to mellow out on the music from how I used to cut videos from some other comments that I've had on that, but sometimes the round is a bit somber and it makes more sense to just do music instead of the native audio, lol. But yeah man, there's a bunch of great golf out here in Colorado, with more on the way with the much anticipated new Coore & Crenshaw property they're developing to the northeast of Denver which will be called Rodeo Dunes. Ooooo, that's a tough call. I'l probably have to say I like Silver better just because I think it has a little more character than Blue, but they're both awesome tracks! Have you played out there?

@@cheesy1111 awesome man! No matter which course you pick, it'll be a good time! Silver is shorter but more narrow, and the opposite for Blue. For the greens, always look at the mountains to the west, everything rolls away from them. Have fun man! Thanks again for checking out the channel!

Heck yeah brother! My favorite in Colorado thus far too! That said, Coore and Crenshaw are at it again with the development of a new golf resort about 35 minutes northeast of DIA they've dubbed Rodeo Dunes. Those courses, when they open, will likely give Arrowhead a run for it's money in terms of awesomeness I would guess. Thanks for checking out the channel man!

Sure, it was October 2023. The fairways are definitely very narrow, that's for sure! Good news is, most of the holes don't really require a big drive, and missing short is definitely preferred on the greens on almost all of the par 4 and 5s. That said, to score well, you really have to be able to work the ball in both directions.
