Garden Clean Up: Deadheading Daffodils
Just don’t scrap the bulbs for the tar. That’s a “No No”
Why pull up the bulbs? Don't you 2abt some for next year?
Tulips do not perennialize well where I live. They are planted annually eventhough they are technically perennials. Flower farmers also pull the bulb with the tulip to get longer stem length.
Nice work! Your garden is going to look beautiful!
Thank you!
One more thing: Some sources say transplant young feverfew when frost passes, but others say it’s cold hardy. When do you put your baby feverfew in the garden? 🌝
@@brittany.s_story I put mine out mid Feb. and early March. Since it’s not used to the winter weather when do young, cover when we dip below freezing.
@ Thank you so much! I feel relieved to know that.
No winter blues for me either! You’re so right! Kara could I bother you with a question? Should I treat annual scabiosa and perennial scabiosa (fama) any differently in the sowing and transplanting process? 😅
@@brittany.s_story No, I’d just cover with frost cloth when we dip below freezing when planting this time of year. I’ve seen them different when not but they did bounce back in the Spring.
What variety of anemone do you plant?
Levante in this video.
Hi Kara!🤩🎉
@@brittany.s_story hi there! Thanks for the comment!
Nice❤❤❤❤
Thanks so much! 😄🌸
Enjoyed your greenhouse tour & seeing all of your different seedlings growing. You're going to love having a greenhouse! 💜
Thanks for watching!
Do you think any of those cut flowers could be started from seed in the greenhouse? If the heat stays up more in there at night, I’m wondering if some of the seeds would germinate.
Yeah, if it is warm enough, they can germinate. The issue with cut flower seedlings right now in the winter is the lack of day light. Not enough light and they won’t grow properly. My seedlings had already been under my grow lights for 16 hours a day and 4 weeks before air moved them to the greenhouse.
@ oh I see I see! So it’s probably best to start them under the grow lights and then I can move them out to the greenhouse when they are a little established.
@@aubnjonesYes, I think so with most of the annual cut flowers. If you are starting native flower seeds, I think they can deal with the less light in the greenhouse right now because eventually they catch up since they are perennials.
Hello there, I am your fans for years long! This year, based on your influence, I decided to have a greenhouse too, however, my backyard is not a full sun area, in winter the sunlight will only have a around 6hrish from morning 7:30-1:30pm, so you think is still good for a greenhouse? 😢
Hey there! Well, I am not a greenhouse growing expert just yet but in the winter, we are mostly just trying to keep plants alive in the greenhouse. I started all my seeds indoors where I could have 16 hours of day a light on them. If a seedlings doesn’t get enough lights, it may not grow correctly. If you have more sun towards Spring, I’d think you would be ok to get the greenhouse!
@@bloomingjoyflowercompanythank you so much!!!!
LOVE the way you show the seedlings in their full glory bloom! Nice work!
Thank you! I am a visual person so I love to see where we are progressing to! 😄
I would love to get to where I grow my own meat and veggies.
That packaging looks superb!
You didn’t say how much ground beef you got
Did it work out ok?
@@veedebee It sure did! The flowers arrived beautifully!
Great video.
Those are great tips! Thank you!
Bulbs r supposed to b planted 6 inches below the soil. Hope this helps.
Imagine that freezer breaks ....
Did you start these under grow lights with domes and heat mat
What Brand freezer do you have, and how is it's quality?
what variety of phlox are you using in this arrangement?
Lovely. Thank you for sharing. I have 2 of those chairs. They are yellow. I'm nearly 67 and still working full time but in a couple of years we will build me a small home to finish growing old in on my middle son's 10 acres. These chairs will be our gardening chairs ( : and once I'm gone, maybe he and my daughter-in-law will have a similar precious memory. ~ Blessings 💕
Do you know if freezing beef kills Bovine Leukemia Virus? I'm too scared to eat cows anymore since I learned the BLV genome is found in human cancer cells.
😂
How long have they been in that box like that?
Shipped to me overnight!

😍😍😍😍😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😍😍😍😍😍😚😚😚
Just lovely. Do you have helpful sources to help you find early and late-blooming varieties to extend the daffs’ season?
Enjoyed the video Kara!
Thank you!
Thank you for the great info !
I have to wear my reading glasses LOL
Yes, they are so teeeeny tiny! 🥰
great information ! Thank you!!
I live in east texas it’s hot then it’s cold then hot again what would you recommend for biopolar weather
We have similar up and down weather here in Tn just a smidge less hot.
I just ordered from your store front. Can I use the block to start any seed? Do you cover with plastic?
Most any smaller seeds work just fine! Whether you cover with plastic or not depends on your indoor humidity. If it is below 50% I do use humidity domes which are just plastic lids from aluminum foil trays. Thanks for ordering from my storefront!
So inspiring
What do you charge for a bouquet like that? If you don't mind revealing?
My question too! That's a loaded bouquet.
