Full installation guide for my TDC and GS Hop arm
good job. Do you also have an idea, how to permanently seal between inlet valve and magazine bottom?
what if i broke the release?
Stressful vid 😱 near to f**k your hands with the drill, the blade, the hammer... 🤣
Where can I buy this now??
Where can I buy one? I’ve look everywhere and I can’t find it anywhere
How are the mags you did holding up after all this time?
To my surprise there still holding strong
@@gunsmithy6188 Great! Im going to finally sort out my 5 leaking mags this weekend haha
Cracking bit of kit! Any thoughts on when the next production run of these will be? I'm gonna have a whole bunch of vsrs that will be wanting these but cannot seem to find stock.
I presume you wont ever have to worry about leaking mags agsin
Hello! I have a VSR-10 clone (AA T11) and I want to install a GUNSMITHY TDC KIT , will a GUNSMITHY TDC KIT be compatible with Action Army hop up chamber vsr-10? If yes will I have to replace the hop arm with the one in the TDC kit or it will work with the one is already installed? this is the hop chamber: www.evike.com/products/91156/
Only the turret is compatible the arm is for the stock chamber only
@@gunsmithy6188 Thank you!
I had problems with 4 mags. Tried the sealant approach but still leaked. However I found a spare O ring for my piston in my sniper whacked that in and pressured up nicely.
Tried this but couldn't get the pins back in. Is there an easy to take apart the magazine once the polymer has set?
hey gs! i have the ssg10 - will it fit the stock hopup-unit?
100% yes
Hey, love the video, do you fit this for people?
Hi Jake Yeah I do have a fitting service but there can be a long wait sometimes
Just to be clear, you popped out that overpressure valve and left it out when you rebuilt the magazine?
Solotron Airsoft take it out and it goes in the bin 🗑
Gunsmithy Much thanks! One more question, I noticed you were using a razor blade to cut the edge off of the pin you drilled out. Is it a soft metal or plastic?
Solotron Airsoft it’s metal but the burrs I had I cleaned with a knife
where do I buy one

Hello, thankyou for the tutorial. What do I need or don’t need for the action army hop unit? Is it similar to install? Thanks
Alex Winchester install is exactly the same just loosen off the AA HOP ARM is the black square is flush to the outside of the chamber
Gunsmithy thankyou
@@gunsmithy6188 I'm planning to do this with AA Chamber, do I need to file it down as well or do I just need to remove the AA hop arm? Thanks
F T the hop arm is for stock chamber only you don’t need it for the AA as it’s already an upgraded chamber
Sorry I meant AA hop up unit. I just need to remove the black arm with the spring thing and it should GS arm should just pop in there? Thanks
If epoxy can cause problems if it gets too deep, why not just leave the air pressure release valve in and put the epoxy on top of it?
Yes you could do that but I just throw away the sling and valve as I like to make sure that hole is properly cleaned before I add epoxy
Thank you. I just had the fight of my life with those pins. First to open the magazine... and the nightmare of closing. You make it look so easy...
Your flys are open, good tutorial but camera position could be improved.
Im in America. What sealants should i buy here in the states to fill the hole and put around the edges of the mag and rubber gasket?
HICKS NIPER any epoxy resin will work for the release valve hole For the base plate a grab adhesive sealant or RTV silicone also works well
4:12 did you really just drill into your thumb?
no, he is only little dumb
Dude…😳….🙄
thank you very much.
thanks for that helpful video! :) now I know how to open those mags :D -Rakune
I have 3 mags that all leak from the base. Looks like I have a tech weekend. Thanks for the guide. I just need to find that caulk at the store!
Ben Wilson thanks just be sure to get the right stuff or your mags will leak again
@@gunsmithy6188 yea the stuff you linked isn't sold here in the states so I have some research to do.
@@gunsmithy6188 finish the mags yesterday. 100% seal thanks again for the vid helped tons. I will be doing this every MK23 mag i get.
@@101Preserved which sealant did you end up using
Ben Wilson which sealant did you use? Thank you
Nice tutorial! I use loctite rtv blue but it is very flexible and not that durable, sometimes pieces come off in the mag and blocks the valve. I will try soudal but there is the flexi and turbo... Will the flexi not be better because it is more flexible and more of a sealant than the turbo?
theFunmonkey24 Thank you Their are a few brands out there Also Evostick sticks like shit But as long as it’s ALL BONDING and All SEALING you should be good
@@gunsmithy6188 Oke super, I'm getting the soudal flexi and turbo 125ml and will test those to see if there is actualy any difference :P I'm just curious :P Thanks a lot mate! I'm hoping you will make more teching videos, I really like them!
Hey. Nice video. Wonderine where can I get one of this?? Tnx mate
Sebastjan Pirnat skirmshop Uk or skirmshop NL
Whats the size of the o-ring in the mag? Mine is totaly broken so i can't measure it anymore. Never thought off the SMX-Polymer to use in the mag :-) I'm now using 4 stti mags and they are hpa at the moment.. Would like to run the mk23 on greengas in the summer with the original mags.
Bert de Ridder 20mm x 2mm O Ring
@@gunsmithy6188 dude I love you, after replacing oring mag doesn't leak anymore
Ive never had to go to the extent of using epoxy or sealent. I just give the O rings a nice bath for a few days and lets them swell up again. I feel using sealent is a way to ruin a mag. I recently fixed a friends mag that was "fixed" using this method, and it was a pain to take apart and clean... All i did was change the O ring with a well lubed up one and she was like new. But the way I look at it, this method is like last resort.
Trinity Black I understand that but I’ve tried many methods including the one you mentioned and it eventually fails again and again But some of us just want that permanent fix and if was to fail in which mine never have pop the pins out and the body and base plate will separate. Agreed there are many methods this is one of many
@@gunsmithy6188 my other question is how cold does it get where you play? This year the coldest it got was around -3°C where i play so using the mk23 hasn't been too bad. But i still kept warmers in my pouches :p some friends of mine on reddit who live in Cali say they don't have as many problems as I do, I assume because of the weather :p
Trinity Black we do get cold weather here in the UK but hand warmers are a great way to keep those mags warm and performing good 👍
@@gunsmithy6188 little update, it got down to -10°/-15° C and the mags ive fixed still function, but you can definitely tell there is a loss of gas efficiency with the cold. All we can hope is TM makes a better design on their seal :D ... hopefully lol
Trinity Black -10 /-15c wow
I've been struggling with my MK23 mag for a while now. I did everything the same but with a different sealant and haven't removed the valve. I'll try it this way. Cheers!
FIRST!!!!!!
Nice one, will be fitting mine this weekend 👍👍
Your fly is down xD
Adrian Lee 🤦♂️ yeah I know At least nothing is hanging out 🤣
