Probably cause there cheap to produce at these sizes, and people have to constantly buy shoes for young children as they grow. Kids also like flasher and more colorful designs. Wish we had shoes like these as adults, my size thirteen shoe yearns for sparkles.

I feel like it takes away all the real struggles that neurodivergent people experience, it makes it seem like we are all silly happy little kids when in reality most of us are constantly struggling every single day. Then again as a girl who was diagnosed at a young age I have always distanced myself from the neurodivergent community which used to be because of bullying but now it’s because being autistic has become trendy. I’ve seen those same bullies use the term neurospicy to talk about themselves when they make a dumb mistake. I don’t know it just feels like everything about the neurodivergent community is always treated as a joke.

It's one of those words that a community makes up and uses so much that it catches on outside of that community so much so that people begin to use it in a derogatory way against that community. After it's been used in an attempt to bully that community the community evidently begins to drop using the term entirely because of it's new connections to bullying and hatered.

@@warmfr0gg66 absolutely! I think for some people the word provides a little light heartedness to the conversation. Identity can be hard topic and our language can make it easier in some ways!

I liked the word "neurodivergent" back when it was coined but I'm liking it less and less as it becomes more and more associated with social media trend, and as companies pander harder into the neurodiverse market. I've gone back to describing myself as "neuroatypical." I even describe myself as "an autist" more than I say "I'm autistic." I'm not unreasonable-- I am glad that people are generally more aware and understanding of different neurotypes now, and I don't think everyone who self-diagnoses is lying for attention-- but I do agree that "neurospicy" is a term born from trend. As with all new movements (and as with people who are new to their diagnosis), the movement to understand different neurotypes is going through a clunky, over-corrected phase. I find it cringy but understand that it's necessary
I think it depends. If another neurodivergent person were to call me neurospicy itd be fine. I think neurotypical people saying it is the problem. It takes away from it. Like acoustic.
