Trainz, a virtual model railroad simulator, is used to present the Golden Age of the Canadian Pacific Railway, the years of construction, 1881 and 1885, and the decade or two that followed. This historical fiction combines facts about the railway with undocumented locales of the time that can now only be imagined.
The completion of the Canadian Pacific Railway’s trans-continental line in 1885 led to what Christopher Columbus set out to discover in 1492, a route west from Europe to the Orient.
