Looks like someone recreated the internal Optifine-brightshader for Iris. Optifine is still better at some things than the individual mods are, but the gap is certainly closing.

So does Optifine speed up my laptop if I use it or damage it and have more lag? Because usually MC runs fine, but every couple of minutes it freezes every few seconds. Casual lag yknow. But just questioning.
OptiFine should speed it up! I’ve never had it slow the game down at all in the slightest, and it should only help!
@@enderybax hey! I actually just downloaded it and I'm getting significantly less lag than I usually experience! Of course I do still get some lag because I'm on a 128gb laptop, but it actually decreased my lag. Thank you for explaining OptiFine to me, now I know it is really a good thing to have!
