    I gotta asked, what eat up most of your development time? I know it's bug-fixing and maybe thinking of the level design. But with the abundance of free assets and MIT open source Godot code to copy pasted from, I assumed it wouldn't take too much time. Especially since it looks like a clone of SNES Zelda game, no offense obviously. Just thought I might learn something when I develop in 2D. Since I've only been using Godot in 3D and making assets for it.

    • @Godot-Bro
      @Godot-Bro Месяц назад

      Thanks for the question! For me personally the most time consuming part depends on the project, but for this particular game jam it was definitely bug fixing followed by the coding. I didn't use copy-paste code so I had to figure it all out myself, with exception to some tutorials on like the UI. Maybe I should look more into that open source code! 😂 The level design would certainly take a lot more time in a different project where I actually had the time to worry about it being good, but for this game jam I just went for the first thing that I came up with so it wasn't very time consuming. I am new to Godot still, so learning what it can do is also a big factor, I haven't even touched 3D in Godot yet, which I am excited for. I learned a lot about tile maps and auto tiling for this project, which I highly recommend you check out if you're getting into 2D. Check out the channel Coding Quests, they just uploaded a short video on auto tiling like 12 hours ago.
