What can one do if rubbing alcohol was use to clean the violin and the shine came off ?

It's Tarisio, the auction house in NYC. In the lower price ranges authenticity plays no role - they're all shop or factory instruments. The important thing is to get an instrument in good condition, ie no cracks or hidden defects. That's not easy on eBay but you seem to have gotten a good healthy serviceable instrument!

I don't know how knowledgeable you are on this subject but the website is called Tarisio not Varisio. Kind of odd that you don't know that but on the other hand you are trying to sound like a person with some knowledge on this subject.

I know how to make a bad violin sound good. Practice everyday under extremely caring teachers, work hard, and learn always for at least 25 years. You will make any violin sound amazing. Also, new high quality strings always help. ;)

Maybe Nimbus has cut quality, the aluminum spoke nipples mine came with were garbage, I had all of them replaced. Also, the disc brake was warped. Other than that it is good.

aftermarket turn signals look great, but are very, very cheap. try to find good used or NOS.

To adjust the idle turn the sleeve next to the throttle cable on the engine.

So as a retirement project I started fiddle lessons with a local maestro taking my eldest daughter's old German violin after 4 lessons my daughter on maternity leave joined the class and wanted it back, then went with youngest daughter's Chinese Lark which I put decent strings on ,Thomastic Dominant , then bought a lovely J B Collin Mezin 111 and sold the Lark on EBay in nice case with good bow and it fetched £ 19. Less than the cost of the g string! What a waste of time.

It's be nice to be able to purchase 3-D printed copies of the red wing attachment to use on other models. I always liked that on my Sleek Streaks when I was a kid. Or even get the scales plans for making my own would be great.

Great flight! You use terms that make me think you flew FreeFlight airplanes a lot. “Trimming” and “stooge” mark you out as a model airplane flyer. Ever put foam floats on one and fly it off the lake? Scotchguard will somewhat waterproof the balsa, at a cost in weight. Get some balsa and make some floatplane wings-or make the flying surfaces from thin foam and go for it. I am a FreeFlight guy myself, just discovered your channel, and am talking myself into making a red oak bow. I like your channel very much.

Hi there! I have a '74 TC100 (same color!!), found her in a barn. Cleaned up nice, but been having problems with my choke and the idle circuit. I've found the little donut seal that connects the carb to the crankcase flange remains loose no matter how much I tighten it. How's yours, can you jiggle the carburator in place with it tightened?

I've played cello for 10 years and want to try out violin. The one I'm looking at is priced at $45 for the violin, bow, rosin, and a mute. I'd likely have to make a lot of the adjustments you did and probably get a new bow, but I feel like if it’s playable and I know what to expect it's better to start with something cheap and upgrade later than to wait years to afford a quality violin I may never learn. I've been collecting North Pacific for about ten years. I have dozens of many different models. I loved them as a kid.

I remember in 1968-69 flying these. I was 9 years old. They were the best. But they cost a whopping 25 cents! and my family was somewhat poor. The gliders were only 10 cents which I would have nothing to do with. I can still see that Streek flying so high and long towards the sun in the evening. It is still engrained in my mind to this day. It was the best flight of all the flights that I launched. Now I build WW2 Fighter airplanes in retirement and love every second of it. Thank you for this video. I searched for it on you tube never expecting to find some old guy like me that still loves them. God bless us for our memories. ❤
