heres a little pov for myself, since i use this often for doing homework --- its a long flight back to quantico after an especially difficult case. almost a week away from bau headquarters and the constant travel is finally catching up to you. nestling into a small seat in the corner, you pull out your textbook on philosophy, a notebook, and your favorite pen - a fancy black ballpoint, a christmas gift from hotch (he got you in secret santa - you made morgan a scarf, which he loves and wears constantly). spencer sits across from you "what are you studying?" he asks, genuinely curious - not just making small talk like most people who ask that same question "oh, intro to philosophy, i'm working on my second phd. its actually killing me though, how is this somehow harder than psychology and human behavior? or tracking a serial arsonist? honestly, id take a case over this any day" you groan melodramatically, flipping to your next chapter. "well, you see, it makes sense that philosophy may be more difficult for you, as there is a large difference between the..." he trails off. "i... am sorry, youre obviously trying to study." he goes to leave and find a new seat when you stop him "no please, tell me more. its super interesting - you're actually making me want to study this stuff" morgan strolls past "don't feed his ego, he needs to be taken down a peg" rossi chines in "oh shut it morgan, you're still just pissed that reid beat you in poker again" "whatever, dave" you chuckle and look back at reid. you give him a small smile and begin your notes. reid chimes in here and their with fun facts about the sections you're reading, as well as interesting things that he realized or remembered. he's always happy to answer any questions too - he's like a more interesting google - plus he's still available, even on airplane mode prentiss is fast asleep, and jj is working on the case report. rossi is trying (and failing) at a sudoku puzzle while reid desperately tries to assist, hotch is reading over the case files one last time, and morgan is listening to music while fighting sleep. looking around you realize that despite the long hours, and intense homesickness, you love the bau - not necessarily the gruesome cases, but the amazing people you get to solve them with. their constant support and love, as well as the relentless sarcastic comments and friendly jabs. you cant wait to get some drinks, a good nights sleep, and then begin the next case
