I think I'd pull a David Burns hack by adding in a lil bit of pollen substitute & bee healthy (only for the anti fermentation benefits). Much appreciated for your sharing this with us 🙏!

Dang! Lot of wasted comb due to wax moth damage. It is easier to shake the package bees in once queen cage is set. it doesn't hurt them a bit. The queens pheromone is still in the package and they may not come right out leaving her unprotected if you have a cool night. I might put the package in just to let the last stragglers come out but would shake 90% of them on top of the frames.

I just googled the subject, and the consensus seems to be 3 normally, 4 tops for paint, and it depends on the DENSITY OF THE PAINT. It was also noted that going 3 high might make lifting the top bucket a little uncomfortable. It is suggested that a pallet should be placed between each layer of 2 buckets if going higher. It was also observed in a Blog Post that the sidewalls tend to sag over time. The poster said they had stored Wheatberries and stacked the buckets 3 high, and, after 3 years the sides collapsed on some. Wheatberries are less dense than water or paint, and especially Hunny. 6 Gallon buckets seem to be built a bit strudier. It really boils down to how thick the walls are. Google AI gave me this advice: "The maximum height for stacking 5 or 6 gallon pails depends on the thickness of the wall: "0.075 in: Stack up to three high or deep "0.090 in: Stack up to four high or deep." There was a caution not to stack them too high (to lift) if they weigh over 100 pounds. The loaded weight also affects the max height possible. I'm glad that didn't spill. That would have been one sticky mess.
