First big fish I have hooked into with my new DRAGONtail Tenkara fly rod. Had a great fight but he took my hook in the end. I am going to have to up my tippet line from a 5lb line to an 8lb line to give me a little more strength to keep the fight going with these big fish at Springfield.

Fished some tight spots here around the beaver dams at Pebble Creek in Idaho. I don't think I could have fished some of these spots with anything but my Tenkara fly rod.
McTucker Ponds Springfield Idaho

Screwing around with my Tenkara Pole at McTucker Ponds Springfield Idaho. Caught over 15 fish but they were just a bunch of very small bass, bluegill, and sun fish. My 200th fish for this year was only 2 1/2 inches long, number 199 was 20 inches long but he was caught at the Edson Fitcher Pond in Pocatello. I usually fish for trout but I decided to try some blue gill for a change, wish these on...

Making Whole Wheat Tortillas with the WonderMill grain mill and ChefPro Tortilla Maker. By FoodPrepper.com www.grainmillwagon.com/whole-whea-tortillas-with-tortilla-press/
The noise of this machine runs me off. Too loud; my KitchenAid is a quieter and better made machine.
Just curious, as I'm in the market for a large batch dough mixer, has the WonderMix held up for you? I probably won't be making such a large batch, maybe 3 loaves worth as I mill my own flour and the flour and bread lose nutrients the longer you go on without freezing. At this point I can't afford a Bosch and definitely not an Ankarsrum, but was hoping this one would do the trick. Thanks for any response.
This machine is too loud for what it is. I’ll stick with our KitchenAid, which is the “benchmark” of stand mixers.
Where did you buy that machine to make tortilla
Where you got that fish you should try panning for gold
OK so I am looking for a machine that would do what this one does.. and it's not 2021. Can you tell me if you still have it. Do you used it often for this size batch? Have you had to replace anything?
That Place has hogs man.
Great demonstration! And Wondermix is perfect for small and large bread batches. Am able to leave on count.
Nice!
Why don’t you just buy an industrial mixer if you’re going to make that much dough?
YES!
Nice catch
Awesome channel
The bread loaves look nice😀
Ok, so the mixer CAN do this large a batch. We get that. However, if being reasonable, doing 2 batches would save time (shorter knead time) and the mixers motor life. Nice video though. Point taken.
Were you happy with this bread? Was it light or heavy? Taste?
17 C Whole wheat flour 2 1/2 C Instant potato flakes 3 3/4 C Milk 3 3/4 C Hot water 7/8 C Oil 7/8 C Sugar 4 Eggs 3 3/4 T Yeast 6 tsp Salt (=2 T) 3/4 tsp Ginger (ground, I assume)
I wonder if the dough divider would have helped in this case.
Do you get your wife to bake them? I wouldnt have the patience! Looks really good though. Your videos are convincing me to buy the Wondermix.
A tip from ChefBrad, just before turning it off, pour a bit of oil into the space between the dough and the bowl. Quickly this will coat the dough. After turning off the machine, remove the bowl and dump it out on a slightly oiled counter, then remove the kneading paddle from the dough. Much easier that way.
Monsters!
Post it or rename it as chef pro tortilla maker, ur vid will reach more people. Nice video BTW
I purchased it being attracted to the videos about WonderMix mixer., and have my pros and cons about the mixer.
Would be interested to know your pros and cons. Thanks.
Aus meiner Sicht mit das effektivste System für Hefeteig .In my opinion, the most effective system for yeast dough.
Nice demo: shows how the bottom hook and the metal hooks work. They mix the dough much better than other mixers.
This will not last especially with that plastic bowl being bent out of shape kneading dough. Too much stress on the machine.
Looks like it is going to fall apart...I have seen this machine under more normal demo's look much better than this...Sorry...
How do you keep the dough from climbing up the center? I bought this mixer with hopes it would be really good for large batches of dough, but it really doesn't do the trick for heavy dough.
what Temperature setting are you using?
It's not kneading, it's just a lump going around and around. Sorry, just too light weight and that flimsy wobbly bowl does nothing for my thoughts that it will last a lifetime.
You have to understand that gluten builds not by mixing but by agitation. You are right it is going around and not mixing, but it is in a constant state of agitation, which is what you want.
I love this mixer. Did you know it has a lifetime warranty on the plastic shaft. I make bread in mine every week. Always do a heavy batch using 14-15 cups of flour and I never have had my shaft break but I'm glad to know that if it ever does then I can just replace it with a FREE one. Great mixer!
Have a question for you should you see this...I have watched a lot of demonstrations with this mixer and this is the first time I have seen it look like it was very stressed...The bowl was bending and the whole machine was not functioning well...Was almost ready to buy this one not sure at all now...Was this just a bad demonstration do you think?...
It seems to me that this batch of dough was mixed to make a point and that this is for demonstration and show more than anything else. I was not impressed by the way the bowl bent out of shape as the dough was being kneaded. There is no way this bowl and drive made out of plastic will last or stand up under a high usage situation. Plastic is okay for some things but it simply cannot take the place of stainless steel and metal for strength under a load. Sorry Charlie, maybe next time!
J Bigboy John, I just read your comment from two years ago and have to say you are so wrong! My first bread mixer was this type with that kind of bowl. It is still going strong for my daughter. I bought it 30 years ago.
Yes, it's a demonstration. It's a demonstration of the outer limits of the machine. 20 cups of flour is pretty extreme. Most home cooks will make 2, maybe 3 loaves--not 5 large. Also, all mixers strain at kneading dough.
this machine looks very similar in design to the Blendtec mix n blend ii. except theirs had an electronic program selectors and the dough hook is less robust. these machines concern me having a plastic drive shaft, lots of complaints of them cracking. also any good mixer needs a metal bowl for making decent meringue. Plastic will not provide good results at all. I'd recommend a Bosch with stainless steel bowl.
Mike K, should you see this...Rather than incur the additional cost for a metal bowl for the Bosch would a regular had mixer work as well for meringue in a glass bowl?
How is this machine holding up? Does it do well with heavy doughs, like pizza dough?
Awesome
Nice fish!
Nice video, I'll have to try those next time I have some uneaten bananas around instead of the old standby, banana bread. I especially liked the cute little voice in the background, "what are you making? are you making cookies?" Just adds to the charm. :)
@theFoodPrepper Can you tell me where you bought your electric tortilla press?
ChopperSakura amazon has it. All you have to do is Goolgle "ChefPro Tortilla Maker". You will be able to find it that way. They are under 50$
