This channel is just me going through the learning process of a reef tank. also reviews on anything I buy and try to provide help to others. I like to share anything I learn to help other people in my situation. There are always new products and not enough reviews. also like feedback to help me out when people notice I am doing wrong.

Well its facing the wrong way for flow. Ive been looking at these for awhile now. I found a video of a getleman from KLIR explaining the water flow needs to pass along it skinny ways not the way you currently have it flowing.
tip my friend at 4:12 the orange o ring is meant to be on the out side that is what keeps the tube from moving around on you mate
Hello, what kind of anemone? Are you selling it?
Can you use distilled water to calibrate the hanna salinity tester? Thats what people tell me
Thank You!! This is what i needed!!
Biggest piece of crap I’ve ever bought in this hobby
I just got one but it’s overflowing the collecting cup fills up right away what do I do?
Where did u get custom lid?? For bow front
How do I get the water pumping? Someone turned it off.
Milwaukee recommends calibrating before every use with distilled or ro water. N
Nice video thanks I know its been 3 years, but any luck with the new hanna tester, i just bought one so curious if you figured out the issues, thanks
There is a new gen. are those pumps any better?
How often do you dose this ?
I have searched everywhere, your video comes closest to answering my question, It is in regards to the Day and Hours setting. If I wanted it to do 4 daily water changes my timer would look like this "00:06" correct??? Your help would be greatly appreciated!!! :)
Yeah, it’s a pain in the butt working with it. And adjustments need to be made to make it work efficiently. I believe all the plastic ladder grids should be submerged in the water yours are exposed. Your water level isn’t high enough.
It keeps overflowing by the gasket for me started a fire on my outlet I followed all directions and call BRS they sent me a replacement then the other one the bubble overflowed through the cap any ideas I’m probably not gonna use it anymore
I am pretty sure the fleece material has changed either in workmanship or material, as the last one ordered lasted two weeks, and for the previous year, they lasted about two months. I left a message and email for any help, and as in the past, they did not answer. Keep your receipt cause they are selling faulty material.
I have one of the older Trigger Systems, run a Fuge in the Middle Section. On a new tank you shouldn’t run Charcoal, it strips too many trace elements out. The only time I use it is after a medication or treatment. Also if my water is too yellow in my water change discard bucket, or if I do anything to disturb Leather Corals. Also if that Clamp is Stainless Steel on the Pump, you need to replace it with a Titanium Clamp, $$$$$ or a Plastic Ratchet Clamp, $ available at any ACE Hardware. Also you can Hard PVC Pipe the Pump, and make a Manifold. You need a British Standard Pipe Thread fitting, BSPT x Socket PVC. The only place I’ve been able to find this Fitting is from McMaster-Carr. When you Glue the PVC Pipe to the fitting, use Schedule 40, not Thinwall PVC. You need a place for the Gasket to set. If the pipe is cut with a Saw, be sure to smooth out the cut end and Chamfer the pipe. No Rough Edges.
I think ur supposed to put it on the out side of the rollers inside there
I need this for my 220 gallons saltwater tank mine is so loud its crazy.
Quit moving the camera so much
just seen your tank beautiful wow um your torch was sting frog spawn
He’s sooo big! They look so innocent and small when they’re babies at the LFS.
He’s finally out! He’s gigantic & girthy!!
Is it really safe to be used externally?
Looking good 👌🏻
These corals are amazing the whole tank amazing colour contrast.
i have both😊 sofar they worked well
Di-4v2 has the same problem, they didn't fix the problem.
OMG 4 years later I finally heard some say what I thought. I'm an HVAC technician and I keep calling it a return as well. I don't have friends let alone friends in this hobby to correct me every time I say the return. haha
Thanks for telling about how it stays in that setting.
your tank will do it naturally as it matures.
Thank you for making this! Very helpful!
Hi! Quick question on the ATO part. Do I need a third pump for the RO/DI water then b/c I'm still confused on how the ATO works with AWC. It has an ATO mode but im still seeing salt water being pumped in and no third pump for RO/DI water if that makes sense. Thanks!
It comes with 3 pumps, one goes in your ATO reservoir for ATO's, one goes in your sump return chamber to remove water for AWC's and one goes in your new saltwater reservoir to refill the aquarium on AWC's
Love the favia behind it. Is that yellow submarine?
Gorgeous!!
Congrats what an amazing display! What dosing regime do you have? Do you also monitor PH as well as KH and Calc/Mag?
I thought I was the only one, the heart of the system is the sump. Therefore, the supply is the discharge of the pump going to tank, and the return line comes back to the sump.....Go HVAC guys
What's your secret to such great growth?
This guy do a sample video but very important 😊
Helpful video!
Glad I could help
Did u treat your tank where his going first? They might be flukes there to
That’s a very old video he was in a quarantine tank to begin with, and I was treating them as usual. Sometimes fish gets sick when you transport them.
You do realize those metal tubing clamps have to go right?
That’s a very old video
If I have mine set for 1 day 23 hours how long and how many times will it do WC???
Approximately every two days
If you’re gonna set it to that, just set it on two days
Hey great channel and I'm sure enjoying watching some of your videos and I found your channel as I am searching for a little more information on Zoo Med's 50 Low Boy . I have a few questions for you if you have a chance to get back. .are they a good buy in general since I am getting a used one tomorrow ? Secondly would I need someone to help me or is my 2 wheel hand truck enough which is how I got my 40 breeder in but the difference in size is throwing me a little and the egg nog was really good as well 🌲🎅 Merry Xmas and I will surely subscribe
So the frag tank I have no issues with it some people claim they don’t like them. I can’t figure out why you should be able to move it around easily by yourself. I did it myself it’s not very tall 12 inches is 4 feet long and 2 feet wide, I’ve had no issues with it at all. The seals are all good silicone. It’s worked out great I’ve only had it about a year. I even drilled the glass out and put my own overflow on it. Everything seems good.
Oh and yes they’re a great buy. I think I paid $130 for mine in the stand was maybe 40 bucks no complaints my local store just had it sitting there so I bought it.
Run 1inch to 3/4 for better flow imo if you find the fittings.
Unfortunately, all the piping is plumbed I’m not changing it so I’m just going with a more powerful pump. Shouldn’t be a problem it’s three-quarter inch splitting to 2/2 inch returns. The pump works don’t get me wrong it’s been running in the tank for a year but I’m gonna try one of the Apex core pumps I want something that has built-in water flow and integrated into the Apex anyways.
The sumps with the V1 controller has a bad board that will go bad causing the floats to stop working. BRS says they have had only one report in 1000 ...what else would they say cause it would costs them tens of thousands of dollars to recall them and to take of their site and what they have in stock. I think Trigger knew about the bad circuit boards but just took a chance and felt it would be cheaper to send a repair kit out. I received an email that the owner knew about this issue and so does BRS. So just be on the watch that these will stop on some sooner or later and could let your sump over flow.
Ok thanks for info but I do have my apex tied int to disable if water levels change in the wrong way.
Worthless and customer service is the worst. Might be made in America but parts come from China or some other third world country. Very cheap parts especially the float sensors
I’ve had great Tech Support they sent me two spare motors to spare circuit boards and entire float and wire assembly all for free. They never asked me for proof of purchase or when I bought the song. They’ve taken care of every problem I ever had. They should’ve made a better circuitboard to tolerate the motor getting stuck and having some way to shut down motor if it got stuck overall I had this one for two years now and it’s work good other than, my circuitboard burn out due to the motor getting stuck. I might have mentioned some things about it in the video but I never said I didnt liked it. It’s actually a great sump and Tech Support was fantastic. I told him it pulled through two of my fleece rolls because the water level got screwed up and it rolled it throughout the night and they sent me a bunch of free fleece rolls just for my inconvenience that has not happened again because I tied it into the Apex controller and set it up so It can never do that again.
@@JasonStJohn-my1cs Yeah I don't think they treat everyone the same. I think cause of your video you may have been more of a customer to satisfy then someone like me just emailing them. It seems they knew about the floats and that they had some customers say they completely stopped like mine did less than a year in use. You would think they would have provided a spare set like the did with the gear or like they do now with their upgrade kit. I'm upset with these guys cause they told me after my purchase that the floasts may go out so just be careful. $1200.00 spent and that's the best they could do? I'm happy they took care of you but I just think they cherry pick who they responded too.
@@mnarlis oh, I’m sorry to hear about that. I called them many times and had great customer service is actually the best I ever had to be honest. So what do you mean an upgrade kit? What was wrong I know about the gear they sent me a bunch of those, but what’s the upgrade kit was there’s something wrong with their floats I never heard anything about that.
@@JasonStJohn-my1cs The owner David told me back in April that he had some people mention to him that they had issues with the floats and how all three would stop working but they were working on a upgrade to resolve that issue and would stop using floats and go with eye sensors and would even include extra sensors incase one went bad since the new one's are plug and play. I just wish if he know about the floats going bad he should have included spares but he didn't and I think it was to sell his new upgrades instead.
Oh I forgot to mention he would give me a $100 off the new set if I would post a positive review...What a joke!
Is the width of the 34 actually 34” or is it a little smaller or bigger? I have a 34” wide cabinet and I’m hesitant to get one.
I’ll have to get back with that information a little later today
How often do you feed your tank.
Not that often hardly ever I might put a B+ in it from redsea, but that’s about it. Are you asking because of the anatomies or just in general?
