I sailed on her in second week of October 1990 she was a beautiful ship 🛳 I had a beautiful trip I saw cozumel , Ocho Rios, grand cayman. The waters got abit rough in Oct but, love every second of it ! Thanks for the beautiful memories! ☺

Sailed on her in November 2008 and we left from Mobile Alabama but I can't recall the ports of call it went to, does anyone happen to remember?

I'm an old guy now at 53 and I can say that I'd take the new ships anyday. Some things need to be "memories" and this ship is one that should never be forgotten..give the an excel class anyday...

Wow, post from 08. I cruises on her back in the 80's with my then girl friend now wife. This was my 3rd over all cruise. Fond memories.

I was Cruise Staff on the Holiday from September to November, 1996. I then left the Holiday to finish my tour on the Carnival Ecstasy. The Ecstasy was ported out of Miami at the time. The Cruise Director on the Holiday at the time was Greg Neal. He was a cool cruise director. I had a great time on this ship, and I did not want to leave, but since this was a training ship, Cruise staff came and went quickly.

I met my Wife on this ship in June 1988. Thanks for the memory!

Rebuilt all the Mcquay centrifugal chillers and computerized them, underway. Got off the week before 9/11/2001. The ship was relocated from San Pedro to San Juan Puerto Rico. Lots of fun while being a contractor.

My husband and I took a wonderful weeks cruise on her.

The cabins haven't changed much!

my first ship as a waiter....nice

This ship was build in Aalborg, Denmark. As a young kid I worked for at the local shipyard and helped building this beauty and also it's sister ship Tropicale. Never took a cruise in my life though :o) Thank you for sharing this, it was wonderful revisiting.

Reminds me so much of an old 80s mall! It was just such a nice ship. They should've never gotten rid of it.

I took my first ever cruise on this ship in 1994! Over 20 cruises later, I still have very vivid memories of this ship. Back in those days, if you were single, they would match you up with up to 3 people of the same sex and you would share the cabin with total strangers. The size of the ships we travel on are much bigger now and I had forgotten how small the cruise ships used to be. Thank you for sharing this video!

Reminds me a bit of the old Silja ferries, except a little more luxurious.

I miss this ship so much. We sail with Carnival every year and the Holiday is still my favorite. Just so classic Carnival! She was never updated much and I loved that about her. She now sails as the CMV Magellan.

We sailed the Holiday back in 1992 when our kids were 9 and 12 now they are both grown but still love cruising thanks to their first cruise experience on the Holiday.

My parents sailed on the Holiday for their 10th wedding anniversary.

I worked as a photographer on that ship back in 1998, met my wife there. It might be old and dated compared to more modern cruise ships, but the experience is more close and warm than these new, impersonal floating cities!!

I was on that ship in 1986 and 1987.

My husband and my first cruise was on this ship in 2009. I was very sad to see it go it was old and small compared to the other ships but I will always remember the best time I ever had was on the Holiday

Sailed several times on the Holiday, Doc Holidays was one of my favorite bars on any ship.

I worked on the ship under construction and sailed from Denmark to Miami in 1985. Funny to see the video, get some good memories.
