1996 Ford F-150 Door Latch Repair
Просмотров 2,8 тыс.2 года назад
1996 Ford F-150 door handle would no longer open the drivers side door. Upon inspection, the handle mechanism was worn badly and would not pull the cable sufficiently. A bolt was added to effectively shorten the cable length enough to actuate the door latch. Note: Taking the latch assembly out was extremely difficult. The electronic lock solenoid was also difficult. It is best to leave in place...

I would love to see the clutch assembly with all the cabling involved.
Raise the front of the fenders
I had one just like that but i think mine had a red rudder. I remember my dad would help me get it cranked and hold it while I got to the controller and I would fly it till the fuel ran out, then waited for the dizziness to go away and off we went again. I bet I wore that engine slam out. I soon learned to crank it myself with out dads help and I must have flown 800 missions a week across the front yard.. without the string conected. It was probably the best Christmas present I ever got. Probably costed more the Dad had to spend on one single item and years later I realized that all thise week end jobs he did and taken us kids along even when it was snowing and freezing cold we would go into the woods with tools and parts in hand and worked on heavy logging equipment like Franklin log skidders, for extra money and as soon as we got home that evening I would fire up my DR1 and make straffing runs on fire ant mounds, sometimes getting so low I clipped dandelions... I lost the rudder after about three years of playing with it, and somehow in 1976 it vanished. Dad replaced it the following Christmas with a electric spitfire that you sat on a 6vdc lantern battery and charged it up. It was not the same. I would get special privileges to set up late and watch black sheep squadron, where i could fly the only spitfire in the pacific and fly along with them.. I removed to red spinner of the prop. So i could get the hub look like the corsair, but it was never the same as my trusty old DR1. wish I could find another one. Those were some of the most fond memeries I have of my Dad. Years later, Sometimes he would come to the air field I worked at and I tried to get him to come over just to sit with us and we would cook chickens or deer stew, but he couldnt stand still to long. He pasted away a few years ago. I miss him and i wish just for 1 hour we could do it again. I dont care how stupid it must have looked to see a little toy airplane on a string go around in a circle, but just for five minutes... I would gladly do it on front of the whole world for a few minutes with Dad just to do it again.
You need to put shims under your radiator support bracket to raise your front end up. You should also check the sgims under your cab mounts too. I'm only saying
Tremendous!
Awesome vid !
“God” has nothing to do with this mechanical wear and tear part. This is not a “blessing”. It is a lack of scheduled maintenance. Wheel bearings are cheap.
J.P. Massaro with all due respect, you have not lived my life nor had my experiences. I am acutely aware of my inadequacies and am very thankful for the peace of mind and guidance I get from my God. His Son’s name is Jesus. I have had great success in fixing things by asking Jesus for help. I’ll happily tell anyone who will listen where I have found help. You are free to ignore my information, but I encourage you to think about it next time you are having a hard time. I have found Jesus to be true and very real.
Hope this is the problem with my Jeep. No noise when braking, squeak sound is louder and worse at low speeds, and can still hear it slightly at highway speed. Sound is gone when hard braking. Sound is quieter when normal braking.
filmed with a 5 pixel potato
Had same one when I was 9. Good memories. Thanks for sharing!
Nice of you to post the video, but the immediate Jesus freak shit causes me to click away instantly. Keep your creepy supernatural nonsense to yourself, man.
dont forget to cover the lower intake holes with something, if you drop anything in there you will not be happy
Maybe a tilt forward at the top edge would help.
I'm currently restoring one of these.
I'm hopeful this is what's wrong with my car, except it's a problem that's developed recently rather than after having new parts
Thanks for the video! I've got to do the same thing to mine. About 1/3 of the Fins are layed over on my radiator contributing greatly to my overheating on the race track. I was looking for a technique to straighten these things without damaging the radiator. Way cheaper than a new $500 radiator!
You are good at mechanical and explanation.
Thanks for the help. It came in handy!
Thank you for this. Just got done fixing one of these following your steps.
good video. direct, informative, and to the point. thanks for mentioning the blue gaskets. I didn't know about those.
Thankyou for the awesome and simple video!
Great video! So much easier than the others. Godspeed!
Awesome I love the prayer before working on the car. Thats wisdom!
