John Schumann wrote this song, I would recommend you react to PTSD15 Special Recording "I Was Only 19" John Schumann. John relates the story behind the song, and discovers a great consciousness regarding veterans assistance. Some have found this video, daunting; but most have found solace, from the fact they are not alone with their struggles.

Two things to notice. First, the main character was the one that talked the other three into signing up in the first place. Mind you, not saying they are responsible for signing up, but it make the point... he's not just dealing with survivor's guilt, he likely feels directly responsible for their deaths. Second. They all seem to have wives/girlfriends during that "One Year Ago" part, from the looks of it. Main character in the present looking awfully alone, though. Yet another thing that veterans go through that isn't often talked about.

Also you were wondering about if it’s a new personality but I think that the intro is the exact same scenario as Hi Ren where it’s his negative emotions and his hopeful emotions battling each other and in this instance Ren lets the negative emotions win because he’s realized, since the revelation in Hi Ren (not literally, because I’m sure he realized this a long time ago), that we all have these thoughts and feelings for a reason and that he’s pissed off and he’s just gonna let his negative side take the wheel

There were a TON of references to his previous songs in this, so many that to this day I STILL don’t think anyone but Ren & Co. know all of them You obviously got the heavy breathing pat referencing Sick Boi but (personally) I think that his posture MAY be a reference to Animal Flow because it’s reminiscent of an ape (specifically like a chimpanzee) “Hate breeds hate” was said in his King Dotta diss track “The hope is the rope that will choke a b**** pale” is a reference to when “Hope Ren” speaks on the other names he is known by: “some people know me as the voice that you hear when you loosen the noose on the rope” “There’s a moral, little Jimmy, of the cookie and the jar” you got this one for sure but if you listen the backing track you hear the piano line riff come in

Dude your honesty in this got me emotional. I also have issues being honest (especially with my wife or when I think I’m right and someone else is wrong) and I get tunnel vision and attack people, so I want you to know you don’t feel like you’re the only one that acts that way or that there’s something wrong with you, it’s just something we have to work at and try to be better than we were the day before

Even though Ren asked the Renegades not to send hate messages to Kujo some did and some also sent messages to the wrong Kujo , who is an artist himself , couldn’t figure out where the angst was coming up. The rest of us as Renegades swooped in with our apologies, he had watched the Kujo Beat Down to understand the situation and he has since reacted to REN’s music, and gained Renegade subscribers. He is the Real Kujo not the person who wronged Ren. Karma will take care of him for trying to capitalize on something so important to a young man who has struggled most of his life to be able to have the opportunity to create his music and tell his personal story.
