Yes, we run raceiver radios so the tower can tell us important info, and they tell us to wave or for thumbs up to tower to make sure they’re working, if we don’t respond we go to the back

I'm happy replacing the throttle body fixed the issue it's been quite a bit 😆, The camera angle is good but I do agree and think raising it a bit will make it look even better, I wish you luck on finding the perfect camera angle as I know it's a pain haha.

Thank you! Sorry to hear about your back. This was the second time I was ever in racecar, on my second season now and I feel a lot more comfortable in the car. Still not super competitive but it’s had racing again people that have been racing since 5 years old lol

@Bradgoesfast I'm hoping one day I can get on the track I just got dealt bad cards and stunted my start but I'm not giving up easy haha. I'm sure you'll fix the problem and your car will be running good soon, it was a shame the event got ended early but it was an amazing one none the less

I think you're doing a fine job with the power to weight ratio. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. Peddle and steering. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. A lot of good racers get extra laps at an indoor concrete kart track. I'm sure you are doing that. On the race track, right now, 2 weeks under your belt, pick a guy you can keep up with and learn to stay right on his ass. Learn his line and choice of why he picked it. Don't pass him, just stay behind him. Soon you will be making your way through traffic in the same manor. Do the above so your beast tames you. The become one with the beast. Think Avitar. Yeeeaaah, his first time was like your first time. Now you're getting me

Hey man!!! These numbers are what I had, but could be way off for you or someone else. So first off, for a weekend with pit pass, entry fee, transponder rental and has it came to $65 a night to get on the track, however even when I finished last in the race, you still won money which normally covers at least the $20 entry fee, but a few times it covered the whole night. As for maintenance cost i was lucky I feel. I did oil change every 4 races which was about $40. I bought a set of back tires half way through the season and an adjustable rear shock, and a few odds and ends which added up to maybe $1000 all summer. I’m sure with issues or damage that number would skyrocket, but without the tires and shock the season would have been very cheap. As for being a beginner, Hamlin having a rookie class was great. The other guys in the class are learning too so it’s way less aggressive than the regular 600s. I never raced anything before this year and of course starting something new was a challenge, but after staying out of the way a bit you’ll get your confidence to be comfortable on the track!

@Bradgoesfast I still think $1000 for a season is pretty reasonable! Racing definitely doesn't have a set price tag because anything can happen. I have never raced anything before aswell other then go karts, so I'm glad to hear everyone's learning, and it's not as aggressive of a class. The hardest part is waiting for the season to start and hoping a good deal comes by, haha! Also does hamlin offer practice days? Or like private sessions or do you just have to go on track and pray for the best 😆

Now is the best time of year to look since everyone’s going to sell their current cars to upgrade lol. Rts in reading has a big flea market I believe nov 11 and might be worth going down. As for practice there is one practice day the week before the season starts, and I missed it because my car wasn’t done in time 😂 also if it gets rained out there is no make up, so you might have my luck and your first lap will be a real race 😂

@Bradgoesfast I've seen alot of cars getting sold, unfortunately most in the 15k-20k+ region. As a beginner, I don't want to trash a 20k car 🤣🤣, I will have to see about going down to the flee market as that seems like the best place to really see everything in person rather then photos and descriptions 😆. There's only one practice session that's awfully bold 😆, hopefully my first ever time driving the car won't be a race but one can only hope 🤣.

That was my feeling too haha my best advice is get the car ready to go like march because I waited until the last minute and it was not a good time lol. Also research fuel system maintenance, the fuel is corrosive when it comes in contact with air so it needs to be ran regularly or flushed

@@Bradgoesfast Come on Brad, I can see moments in your laps where you have good lines. From my novice eyes, you need to work on consistency and anticipation. I see you slow sometimes when you could use the momentum to pass. Don't get down on yourself because a jerk like me makes a joke. Watch these videos and study what you did and what you can do better. I also think you can carry a little more throttle in the corners at times and definitely get back on the gas sooner and use the power to straighten you. Anticipate where the power will lead you and use that coming off the corner. That is my worthless 2 cents of unsolicited advice. I do enjoy your videos.

I lol’d at bradgoeslast haha, and I do have a lot to work on still with stuff I was hoping to be resolved by now. For one I lose the most time entering the corner, I still hit the brake when trying to get it to rotate instead of throttling up. And I am very bad with consistency. I appreciate every comment and view and I thank you for any advice as it’s all welcome. Last night got rained out so there’s only two more weeks left until the off season. I’m hoping to put some time in on iracing this winter to help with the consistency.

Nice man! That’s funny someone else came up to me yesterday that said they wanted to get into it. If you’re facing the pits from the track, I’m on the fence farthest from the track and about even with the wall of turn one and two. Silver trailer with gold 28 on the side. I should be in the pits most of the night just stop by and I’ll try to answer any questions you have. And thanks for coming out!

Hey man! There is no age limit, only minimum age. Start up will vary greatly depending on if you already have a truck or trailer. I figured I’m probably 20k ish into the car, but the car I thought I got a good deal on was basically trash so I had to replace pretty much everything. You can find a decent running car for a lot less than that

I've just recently discovered hamlin speedway and these awesome cars so it's very exciting so see that they can be ran without completely blowing the bank. It’s a blast, racing starts around 6:30 for hot laps and they’ll be racing every Saturday until the final race sept 23. I’m sure you’ll get even more or an itch to go racing if you come out lol

@Bradgoesfast I think I most definitely will get the itch to go racing even more 😄, If it starts at 6:30 on a Saturday I see no reason I wouldn't be able to make it up atleast once before the season ends.

That’s awesome to hear, honestly I just made this channel to track my own progress so to see so many people watching it is really humbling.
